Is it ever ok to wear black to a wedding?

That's it really - would love your thoughts!

Is black and white (spots, stripes, floral) ok or is even that a bit dodgy?

It's not so much whether a handful of people on the Internet think it's OK. It's what the bridal party of the wedding in question think.

Ask. If you don't know them well enough to ask, then don't do it.

I think it's ok to wear black with a bit of colour colour (black and white or black and cream is lovely) and it depends on the style and time of year, but I don't think head to toe funereal black would be a terribly good idea, no.

I think so long as you're not all in black with a black netted hat and sobbing loudly into a black handkerchief then it's ok
