wedding, wedding and hen do. Help!

So I have 2 weddings and a hen do in the next month, same group of friends to all three.

I need to find 2 dresses for the weddings I have some ideas, which I will link below and an outfit themed 'sex & the city' for the hen do.

I have dark blonde, fine, dead straight, shoulder length hair, dark brown eyes. Suit 'warm' colour palates. Carrying a bit of baby weight but am @ a size 12. Curvy, large (32E) norks, small waist, fat bum & thighs type build.

Weddings: I love this and it does look fab on but how to accessorize? And worried about being a little cold

Also love this and is easier to accessorise from my current wardrobe but cant justify buying both so I need to find a much cheaper alternative to one of them.

The Hen do is 'Sex & the City' themed. Its been years since I watched SATC. But could I get away with black skinnies, some kind of killer heels and this? or would a dress be better? suggestions gratefully received?

I have never seen SATC Blush so will be no help there. I was just wondering how the dresses you've linked to work for the norkage? I am 34FF and would look matronly in both of those.

Will go and have a search and then try to be more constructive.

Would you consider a 50s style dress? Would suit your shape. Have a look at Vivien of Holloway.

phase 8?

Similar style to the Monsoon one (but still ££)

Found a few fab dresses @ very but then lost the page. It's worth a look though.

Sorry but I dont think either of those Monsoon dresses would do you any favours(not for those with big norks-myself included!). You need somthing with a sweetheart or v shaped neck line to flatter that size of chest. If you are narrow at the back then a halterneck would look good too.

CeliaFate · 04/03/2011 14:14

That Monsoon dress wouldn't suit big boobs at all IMO. You want a lower, deep V dress, like this.

Bravissimo have lots of dresses in their sale at the minute, you could try them as they suit norks.
Here.
Agree that you need a lowish neckline to suit your shape.
I think the skinny jeans and heels would be fine for the hen do-just up the glam factor with lots of bracelets and cuffs, get some volume in your hair and wear some big earings.
Personally,I don't feel you need to get two different outfits for the weddings. Why waste money on two outfits? So what if people have seen the dress before? Get one that you love and feel comfortable in. Personally I wouldn't raise an eyebrow if a friend wore the same outfit to two weddings. There is such pressure on people to spend so much money on weddings!
You could always change your accessories and hair for the weddings to mix it up a bit.

The satin ballerina dress from Bravissimo is lovely! Wish I had big norks...

CeliaFate · 04/03/2011 14:34

Is there a similar company that styles the more modest of nork?

Fumblina · 04/03/2011 19:02

Febreeze, I seem to get away with the norkage as waist is small and hips therefore balance out.

I love the Phase 8 one, will go have a look/try on this weekend -Although that may make the decision even harder!
