Are wedge heeled boots still in? And if so....

...where can I get some brown ones that are not seude? I want some that are smart enough that I can wear to work in an office with business casual dress code, but also OK for school run (or rather walk) which generally includes taking the DCs on the attached park afterwards.

And if wedges are now out what should I get instead?

Also while on the subject of footwear. What sort of black work shoes should I get?
Thanks.

I think the weird thing about the footwear fashion at the moment is everything is in. If you look in the shops there is such a diverse range from square fronts with flat, wedge or chunky heel, winkle pickers with straight stiletto heel, curvy stiletto heel . It seems that anything goes.

I saw some in russell and bromley on the kings road the other day. a dark choc brown, leather, covered wedge heel, ankle length (so for trousers rather than skirts). can't remember how much they were - £120ish I think

I have the black ones from M and S - very comfy, I wear them to work. They are dirt cheap, made of suedy look fabric though so wont last forever...

Do they have them in brown too though Enid? I have some black boots that are newish.
