Tops to disguise post birth mummy tummy

Hi all!

I'm looking for some tops to wear while my mummy tummy deflates after dc2 arrives. I am well aware I'll leave hospital looking pg still so usual t shirts are still going to be snug to say the least.

Can you find any cheap tops that will disguise it? (planning on shifting baby weight asap)
Also I want to bf so need to work with that too.

TIA :)

I had things like that and that this too
which I had during pregnancy too, and were good enough.

also those
?

This time I found hat lifting was easier than unbuttoning for BF.

schrodinger - I'm going to try the lifting technique rather than bf tops which were actually pretty useless!
I like the Zara Breton top and the pointelle short sleeve t. May order online! :)

Oops- forgot to say a high neck might not be so great with enormous bf boobs! (if I have same excess of milk as last time!)
Confused

So can't help you too much as I am pretty challenged in that departments Wink. I had several zara tops biggest size, but they might be a bit small with big boobs. You should try before ordering.

These are very flattering over the stomach
Arlette Top from Hobbs, they do a grey version as well. If you can find RED from Feb it has a £25 off voucher.

Or this, NW3 Fisher top from Hobbs

ok I know these are technically maternity wear but if you buy a size down they are still great for post-pregnancy as the ruching hides all sins! I still wear mine 4 months post pregnancy and you honestly can't tell they are maternity tops.

As you can tell I'm all about the draping over the stomach post-pregnancy!

get a couple of long line vests or - even better - boob tubes. Wear under eveything to give a smoother line and when you hoik up your top to feed, you will not expose acres those inches of belly, back and muffin top that you rather wouldn't show the world.

Simples.

(BTW, with the vests, instead of wearing straps normally, I just hooked them into the bf bra which kept them up but meant I didn't have to fiddle with straps to release the boob)

soppypreggyloon · 03/03/2011 09:39

teuch - that's the plan! :)

libra - cheap is one of my unfortunate but necessary requirements. Hobbs and isabella Oliver are not what I'd call cheap. Nice tho!

Think short sleeves are good idea as I was always super hot when I bf ds!

Izzy and Bella

Have 41% off today, I have the bella and lots of people tell me how thinning it is! Comfy too and it is for bf (although somehow a little complicated at times for me Hmm but still comfy, easy to wash and flattering)

Figgyrolls · 03/03/2011 09:43

Check out ebay as well as one of the Izzy tops (although might not be your size) is on for 6.99, but with 41% off does make it a little more reasonable.
