Separate Work Clothes?

I'm just starting to think about rebuilding my wardrobe after weight loss, and I'm thinking I need separate clothes for work and evening/weekend/holiday wear.

I've been losing weight for a couple of years so at the moment I have very little clothing that fits, I'm buying bare essentials and there's an overlap in tops and coats but not trousers/skirts.

My work wear isn't formal, even very senior women in my organisation don't tend to wear suits, it's more smart casual.

Anyway, what I want to know, is do you have an overlap between work and out of work clothes or are they completely separate? If they are separate does this include bags, shoes etc?

Since I am a teacher and I tend to dress smart casual there is definitely an overlap. I would say that the only thing that I don´t use when I am not working is my big bag!
