I have tried a tester of bareminerals foundation and think i may quites like it, however i'm not sure im applying it properly so may nip to debenhams to their counter for a demo

just wondering what skin prep other users use, and what concealer etc

I use bareMinerals 'Prime Time' foundation primer, and use the powder as a concealer on the concealer brush.
I bought a starter pack from debenhams, which had 2 foundations, mineral veil and all over face colour, kabuki brush, flawless face brush, concealer brush, instruction booklet and dvd Smile think it was around £45 for the lot, which was great as the brushes cost more than that to buy!! Shock

yes a demo will show you the swirl tap buff and whatnot

you have to buff HEAPS more than you think

I use no 7 serum and moisturiser - you must let it sink in first - then the BE on top and buff buff buff

you can watch videos on how to apply it on utube

I absolutely love the Bare Escentuals bisque concealer which is my all time favourite. I've found it brilliant for covering my dark under eye circles and any redness on my face. Then I use the foundation on top.

For application, shake your minerals into the lid. Swirl with your brush. Tap off the excess and apply to face. Keep doing this until you achieve the coverage you need. HTH

I use my Bareminerals Kabuki brush with my Clinique mineral foundation - the one you grate each time.

Loved bare minerals but was travelling alot with work and therefore lost alot of powder in accidents opening a very shaken pot. The clinique one is alot easier to use in that respect but the coverage is much finer so I find I need liquid foundation as well.

Now I'm on maternity leave so using up clinique ( which is dead handy when you have 2 seconds to apply before ds wakes up) but will be back on Bareminerals when I go back to work and need some real coverage (and new role with no travel).

I used the bareminerals layered up as concealer and I also got the £45 starter pack which was sooo worth it!

Agree re the starter pack. It's got everything you need.

I love the stuff but agree re the travelling point. If I'm running late and have to do makeup in the car then I have to have a backup makeup bag. No way would I risk the powders.

Try watching on QVC they often have shows and it helps to see what you are meant to be doing.

I agree about the Bisque - love the stuff!

A starter kit is your best bet as it has a CD demo in it.
