What fake tan do you use?

So, fake tan season is nearly upon us and I try to look for another (better) fake tan each year. For the past couple of years I have used Xen Tan and it's OK, but am wondering what everybody else uses.

So come on, what do you use? And are you happy with it?

I use St Tropez mousse as I love the colour and its very easy to apply. Its pricey though so i'm looking for an alternative.

EmmaBGoode · 27/02/2011 13:48

I used to use St Tropez mousse, but I found that it didn't take so well on my shins. I also found it a bit green.

Not a fake tan user myself, but a friend of mine sings the praises of Avon's moisturiser with fake tan. She says it gives the best colour of any of the tinted body moisturisers she's used and has no nasty smell!

EmmaBGoode · 27/02/2011 13:59

Thanks CaveMum, I might give it a try.

Famous Dave - it's the best I have ever used!

Try amazon.

EmmaBGoode · 27/02/2011 14:59

Thanks Pinkflipflop, I had never heard of Famous Dave before, I have just had a quick look on their website. It all looks really cool and has loads of good press. And they do international delivery!

Oh I love Xen tan! But it is messy.

Clarins is good, I used to use the gel.

Haven't used any for ages though, too lazy.

The3Bears · 27/02/2011 15:21

I always use St Tropez Mouse or cream I do love it and havent foud a better alternative yet. Did want to try the Famous Dave one aswell.

ENormaSnob · 27/02/2011 16:46

Saint moritz ony body

a spray one on my face. Think it's garnier or loreal.

barbieisaskinnybitch · 27/02/2011 16:57

Famous Dave is good. Vita Liberata Silken Chocolate is better though. No dry time, no smell & a light tan never streaks with no WAG look.

Granard · 27/02/2011 19:58

Kiehls is great. Very easy to apply and doesn't streak or look orange.

littledolly · 27/02/2011 21:53

I used to always use St Tropez but bought St Moritz when I ran out once and have been using it ever since. It's about 90% as good as St Tropez on me, but at £3 a pop I'm not complaining!

Celestialstarlight · 27/02/2011 22:39

Another fan of St Moritz here. £3 from Superdrug. It's the best one i've used imo.

Northumberlandlass · 28/02/2011 07:56

I'm a Fake Bake girl ! But too lazy to apply it myself. I love the results of Fake Bake, but I'm so fair skinned I really just want a sunkissed look.

Any recommendations ? I've used the Clarins one before and it was lovely.

Just bought Clarins Self tan gel - v good, no smell, outbreaks or lines...

:)

Emo76 · 28/02/2011 09:02

Fake Bake Gold here

iwilldothis · 28/02/2011 11:02

brrr.... there's still frost here...how are you ladies all needing fake tan already?! Envy

Lazyem · 28/02/2011 11:24

St Tropez every day stuff is fantastic. I'll never go back to cheaper alternatives now I have used this. Very natural and doesn't smell like others do.

EmmaBGoode · 01/03/2011 12:20

iwilldothis, I live in Dubai and people are already tanned here. I need to catch up! There are only a few months of the year where the weather is bearable, so we need to make the most of them.
