i have blonde hair, and rubbish light eyelashes. i hate wearing mascara all the time so i was debating getting my eyelashes tinted/dyed or something? i dont know how long it lasts or anything, but you would love some input, maybe from someone who has had it done? is it worth it!?

I do it myself.

Eyelash Dyelash from Boots

noddyholder · 25/02/2011 22:17

I have fair lashes and have just had semi permanent ones which are dark and no need for mascara A revelation I really love them

bristolcities · 25/02/2011 22:40

I also do it my self, im dark but still makes a massive difference. Defo do it!

NotSoPukeyMummy · 25/02/2011 22:41

I tried to have it done once but had a horrible reaction, it felt like my eyes were burning. Do you have sensitive eyes?

catinboots · 25/02/2011 22:50

Buy dyelash online

BronwenC · 25/02/2011 22:57

oh god im scared now, i do have fairly sensitive skin etc so might i get a reaction?

Its so so easy! I do my lashes and brows at the same time and have never had a disaster. It can be a little bit painful if you get it in your eye but bar that its well worth it. Also if you get a bit on your skin it comes off with exfoliator so don't panic about staining.

BecauseImWorthIt · 25/02/2011 23:49

I have mine done at the hairdressers - and I have them permed as well. Fantastic.

Furball · 25/02/2011 23:57

For your first go - I would go to a salon - It's about a tenner. They'll need to do a patch test a few days before to make sure you won't get a reaction.

I've had mine done every 6 weeks for the last 24 years! I have used dyelash in the past, but mine are so fair, I find the salon one lasts longer

cybilliberty · 26/02/2011 09:29

noddy you are impossibly glamourous

Beetroot · 26/02/2011 09:31

It means you can go out without make up but mascara still help to make lashes longer and richer

noddyholder · 26/02/2011 09:45

No cybil impossibly daft is the word my RL mates use! Mind you they are a bugger in the mornings and look like spiders til I brush them

polyhymnia · 26/02/2011 10:44

Definitely recommend. I have my lashes and brows done every 6 weeks or so at hairdressers or beauty salon. Lashes last well - great not to have to wear mascara routinely.Brows really need doing a bit more frequently than 6 weeks because fade more quickly than lashes.

awesome stuff. im scared to get it done in a salon coz i dont like the thought of lying somewhere with my eys forced shut for an amount of time.. lol id rather do it myself.. thanks for the tips!!

Furball · 26/02/2011 22:40

They're not forced shut, you just shut them and relax, tis much easier just to lie there than do them yourself, cos you need both eyes open with it all gloopy
