Article by Liz Jones in the daily fail this week. I am going to treat myself for my birthday. So what colour? Elecric blue, Lagoon or Merlot. I have brown hair and brown eyes. My height/size is neither here nor there as it suits everybody Smile. Opinions would be most welcome ladies

Dark brown or light brown?
Can you pull off a bright red lipstick?

cruelladepoppins · 25/02/2011 21:01

Glooy that's really hard to say without knowing you!

Are you a spring/summer/autumn/ winter, do you know?

What kind of skintone do you have?

I have dark eyes, dark hair, olive skin. I would go for the Lagoon for myself - the electric blue and the red are not the right shades for me.

If you have a paler skin than me you can prob do the red. Do you have the same colouring as any of the DM models? I think the electric blue looks a bit cheap myself (ouch! sorry)

cruelladepoppins · 25/02/2011 21:02

Golly not Glooy!

maryjane71 · 25/02/2011 21:04

Don't know how to do links sorry! What's the difference between the two blue shades? I always go for black but thought a bright colour would be a nice change. I love the electric blue but don't want folk to think I'm trying to copy Kate Middleton! I used to really suit red but don't think I could wear red for a wedding for example

that's why i went for the black, you can accessorise more with it and dress it up or down easier that the colours - though i do like the dark red over the blues

maryjane71 · 25/02/2011 21:07

Dark brown hair, mostly dyed these days, but my once natural colour. Think I am an autumn skin wise

If it's a dark red then I'll go for that one. I love black but always buy black, I have loads of black shift type dresses. Think I might end up going for black after all though

Black it is then, why change the habit of a lifetime! Thankyou for your advice ladies Smile
