Hairdresser recommendation in Nottingham

Used to go to Vidal Sassoon but just can't justify the price nowadays.

Anyone got any good recommendations of a stylist and salon in Notts/West Bridgford that is max £50 for a wash/cut/blowdry?

TIA

Try Tracy at Tier - the same building as Virgin gym on London Rd. I've recommended several friends and they have all come away happy. She really listens to what you can cope with!

If you can get to Derby then Mark Scott on Saddlergate is excellent. The red arrow is £2 return with an all day tram ticket Smile

I love Real Hair on Melton Road in West Bridgford. Gorgeous independent salon and lovely helpful people. They have several stylists with different prices so would be worth asking.

Gooseberry in Mapperley is my new local. Lovely people and they open on mondays.

I wouldn't recommend zullo and hollands I went for a consultation and wasn't impressed.
I booked it with zullo -the receptionist had double booked me and someone else then kept calling me by the wrong name - ok i thought, don't be put off.

Saw Zullo and said i have hair that sticks up if too layered - he suggested cutting it all off on top and at the sides which wasn't what i expected, as i'd have thought it was better to grow the layers out. I went to two more hairdressers and both suggested growing my layers out - unlike Z and H. As i left the reception was still in a muddle and called me by the wrong name despite me having corrected her twice.

I am going to sutherland and barnett - who seemed to listen and talked sense - i will report back to you :)

Liz Singh at vertigo. It's just off market square, the entrance is next door to the bead shop opposite debenhams. I've tried so many in Bridgford and Nottingham but she is the only hairdresser I have ever recommended and i've been seeing her for about 4 years now. Shes fab and is sooo funny, not a normal where are you going on holiday kind of hairdresser more like a long lost friend.
