What are you wearing/did you wear as work shoes when pregnant?

Have had to reluctantly give up my heels, they weren't massive, but still mourning them! Have sneaked in in converse for past few days but can't get away with that long term! Has anyone discovered flat and comfy yet attractive work shoes? I mainly wear suit-ish trousers and a top. Have been wearing fly boots with skirts and dresses, again think it is being frowned upon!

I teach and am wearing heels around school but flats when I am actually teaching and slippers in my office.

Ridiculous I know but I am vain.

I have bought wide fitting and a size up and then inserted an insole.

I am a teacher too, and just had to give up on my heels this week at 27 wks! So not bad. Feet have not changed at all but back is breaking!

I had to spend the last two months in dr scholl flip flops. I actually couldn't fit into anything else due to swelling. But that was the end of the summer.

I wore ballet style flats and over the summer flat sandals, sort of gladiator style. I was glad I finished work when I did though as I could only fit in my fit flops and trainers towards the end.

Caz10 · 24/02/2011 22:23

Wish it was warmer, flat sandals more acceptable somehow!

So much on here is making me nervous and this is my third child.

The thread on being denied an epidural has made me terrified of giving birth which in itself is going to cause problems giving birth as I am now too scared to relax.

Now I am realising that I need to work until 38/39 weeks and I am going to have to do so in crocs.

Clarks Unstructured red patent pumps - the most comfy shoes ever - just bought another 2 pairs for going back to work (and Ugg slippers!).

Yip, painful and unstylish days lie ahead...Grin

You are right though, it seems quite depressing pregnancy wise atm!

Your feet might not swell jenandberry! Plus I got an epidural as soon as I asked, well as soon as they got to me.

i'm a teacher, and i lived in these

sooooo comfortable! and a bit of height to them.

jenandberry · 25/02/2011 19:39

I have some other fly shoes and they are very comfortable. I may investigate.

Thanks red, I am being a wimp and negative to boot.
