id never even heard of the company before i discovered this site!

just had a very brief look at its site and it all seems very er....mumsy, boring and not at all fashionable!

am i missing something please?

Hmm I think you've hit nail on head with your "mumsy" comment - this being "Mumsnet" and there being a 10% off for all members etc.

Depends what you mean by "fashionable" - you are right in that they are not cutting edge and won't be used in a Vogue shoot anytime soon. But they are distinctive and I for one feel alot better when I'm wearing something bright and colourful.

However always good to have some variety - where do you normally shop njhc? Any suggestions

Don't like women's range bar the occasional bit (esp as they don't fit tiny people with flat chests), but I love the children's range.

There is thread like this every week on here Wink.

I am a Boden fan. I stick to the non patterned stuff. I like the quality and I am not too worried about being at the cutting edge of fashion!!

I really like the fact that the children's stuff is for children and not mini adult fashions

It wouldn't do for us all to like the same!

Their straight leg jeans are fantastic and last forever, their shoes are pricey but the comfiest Ive ever bought and a little bit special, their plain coloured knitwear (especially the woolen tunics and little cardis) are brilliant wardrobe staples (I have some that are 8 or 9 years old). Not so keen on the wacky bright stuff...

RE the kids stuff, its brilliant quality and just lovely compared to the mini adult type stuff many high street stores sell, imo.

JojoLapin · 24/02/2011 21:53

I usually quite like Boden but I feel like I aged 10 years just by looking at their latest catalogue....

Gillybobs · 25/02/2011 08:16

Jojo...totally agree : ( First time in almost 10 years Ive struggled to find anything I really love.

babyapplejack · 25/02/2011 08:23

The children's stuff is very nice and I get stuff for DS and DD. I don't buy the adult stuff as I think it is pricey.

njhc · 25/02/2011 21:14

ok...off to check out the kids stuff!

I love mini boden. As another poster has pointed out the clothes are designed for children and not mini adults. My dds love Boden, I rarely buy full price though and stock up in the sales.

The clothes wash really well and DD2 is wearing DD1's grown out of clothes and they still look new.

Meh, I think the kids clothes are a bit old-fashioned, not to mention over-priced. Just my opinion though.
