Yay my Dad just called and said he would buy me a new winter coat for my birthday (after several hints lol)!

So come on what is out there? Want something timeless so will last not anything too of the moment as it were.

oooh, cod and hoxtonchick - I'm preparing to start the "great winter coat search" too, and parka styles sound good.

What length/colours are the ones you're considering available in? Do they have hoods - with/without fake fur trim? What fabric are they made of? Zip fastening?

May take a look, as I'm out shopping for dd this afternoon. Poor little one only has a very poor selection of clothes once she's out of her school uniform, so must remedy that..

LOVE that ribbon one, do you think it would be warm enough?

COD you are right I don't do belted as I have no waist and end up looking like a sack of spuds!
