Yellowish Teeth

Hi my teeth are stained from drinking coffee, red wine, etc (I don't smoke) and although I do brush them, I cannot get them whiter.

Can anyone suggest a toothpaste that can make them whiter or look whiter than they do.

Many thanks

Beverly hills formula tooth whitening toothpaste, when I used this people commented. It's widely available.

I have just had my teeth whitened at the dentist. It was 2 weeks with the top teeth and 2 with the bottom. I ran out of stuff after the 3rd week but both seem the same colour though not as white as I expected or I would like. I know it isn't what you asked but maybe it is worth considering as it isn't as expensive as you might think.

Change your toothbrush head as well as a whitening toothpaste. Oral B have one with a polishing cup incorporated in the brush

I get some bleaching stuff off the internet. It's about £20 and does make a difference. Can't remember the name of the site, but there's loads of them.

I was at the dentist this morning for check-up and we were discussing this.

In his view the only thing that makes a big difference is the things you put it in at night filled with the bleaching tray. You do it for 2 weeks and then top-up one night every 2 months. But its about £500.

I've tried various toothpastes but in my Dentist's opinion they're just not strong enough to make a big enough difference.

I used this system with very good results. My sister bought it for me after it worked for her (and she smokes, drinks coffee and loves red wine). Your teeth won't end up blindingly white, but there was definitely a marked difference in the colour of DSis' and mine. Now mother is getting it as part of her birthday gift Grin.

And if it does not work out too well, you'd have only wasted an equivalent of 3 lattes.
