I desire a pretty white blouse

This type of thing.

But you know - I'd rather spend more like £50 Smile

Want to wear it tucked into my flares so I look like this [deluded]

Anyone seen anything similar on their travels?

H&M had some nices ones in a little while ago

FreeButtonBee · 24/02/2011 13:33

Monsoon normally have some broderie anglaise tops this time of year but they tend to veer towards the ethnic side. Nice with flares though for a proper 70s vibe.

Oh thats pretty - but now wondering if I want something more light-weight - sort of muslin type material but mannish style.

Ho hum Smile

Had a look at ASOS just for you, as I simply love the idea of being able to pull this look off in the summer [am also deluded].

too sheer?

silk with masculine detailing

cotton with cut-out details

ultra-feminine and very 70s

traceybath · 24/02/2011 18:06

Oh thank you - love the kookai shirt and have ordered Smile

KurriKurri · 24/02/2011 18:23

I love that Mango one youngblowfish - really pretty.

traceybath · 24/02/2011 18:41

Yes I was also very tempted by the mango one - tis lovely. I love that silk/cotton mix.

verytellytubby · 24/02/2011 18:44

Love the last Mango one.

youngblowfish · 24/02/2011 20:29

Oh, wonderful! I would be buying them myself, but there is little point as I am currently very pregnant. But it makes me so happy to think that you liked my choices :).

Some of my favourite shirts are silk/cotton mixes, they wear and wash so well.

traceybath · 24/02/2011 20:32

Have you got much longer to go young?

OP posts:
PeterAndreForPM · 24/02/2011 20:32

H+M had a very pretty one with a tie neck today (the TRF "young" section)

Fleecy · 24/02/2011 20:34

I opened this thread thinking 'Ooh tracey will have some good ideas, must point her in this direction' Grin

traceybath · 24/02/2011 20:35

The 'young' section - golly they may throw me out of there Wink

Lol Fleecy - last year it was the screw that turned and this year its Farrah Fawcet at her most glossy Wink

I do like a nice white top though.

OP posts:
PeterAndreForPM · 24/02/2011 20:37

erm, I am 45 Hmm

PeterAndreForPM · 24/02/2011 20:38

I meant Zara, not H+M

it's been a long day (shopping)

the blouse was very pretty though and only about 20 notes

eshermummy · 24/02/2011 20:38

Am very tempted by the mango cut out one (very good copy of the Chloe no?)

Tracey - not £50 but have you seen this? I have had it in my wishlist for a while......think Carciofi has a code but not sure how much for?

I love the idea of white blouse and denim flares for spring.

youngblowfish · 24/02/2011 20:58

Peter, Zara online was actually my first port of call, pretty designs but a lot of the TRF ones were polyester and I am a fabric snob.

Tracey, I am nearly 33 weeks. Weirdly, the bigger I get the better I feel. It might hit me all of a sudden though, I have a feeling I will wake up one day soon completely unable to shift the bump. I have also developed a curious case of body image dysmorphia and sometimes still shop as if I was not sporting the huge belly. But it is much cheaper doing it vicariously through MN :).

Fleecy · 24/02/2011 21:11

esher I have £25 off if you spend £100 or more. It's a pretty good discount if you're spending £100, not so much for £195! But it's yours if you want it - let me know.

traceybath · 24/02/2011 21:36

Do you know I didn't even realise TRF was the young bit - but I still think I'm 17 when it comes to clothes anyway Wink

Young - I had total body dysmorphia when pregnant and it actually got worse each pregnancy. When pregnant with dc3 I scared a man in Harvey Nichols by taking a 26inch waist pair of skinnies to the changing room - I was about 7 months pregnant at the time. Obviously I knew they wouldn't do up but wanted to see what they were like on the thighs Hmm

Have accidentally managed to order the dobby mango blouse too Blush

Like the cut out one too though Esher - perhaps you should order that too.

youngblowfish · 24/02/2011 22:12

Tracey, that is very funny! Having finished work at lunchtime today, I ended up trying a pile of 29 inch waist jeans at Tommy H. Bump measures right for dates and last time they would have had a chance of fitting was at the end of summer, I think.

I have to say I love the bobby blouse, but am after an androgynous look right now. Naturally, I have never looked less androgynous in my entire life. Unrealistic expectations, moi? Wink

eshermummy · 24/02/2011 22:13

Ooh thanks Fleecy will let you know if I need to take you up on that.
Am a bit Angry that I don't have my own code actually given the amount I spend with them Hmm

traceybath · 24/02/2011 22:17

Yes Esher - I too was a bit 'ahem where's my code' - typical loyalty just isn't rewarded.

Young - is it your first? A dangerous question to ask on mn I know Wink

OP posts:
youngblowfish · 24/02/2011 22:24

Yes, PFB-to-be Grin. Very exciting.

Fleecy · 24/02/2011 22:28

It only arrived today, as did the one bloss got and it was posted - it's because they've revamped their site so I think you probably will get one over the next day or so. But if not, let me know!
