brown boots with a brown leather jacket?

I have a lovely chocolate brown leather jacket, but I don't know what colour boots to wear with it. Would the same shade of brown be too much? If so, what other colour should I try?

beige or cream would probably work.

Are they the same material as well?

I think it would be nice to have matching jacket and boots.

I'd say matching jacket and boots is fine but I wouldn't then wear with any more brown. How about a more unusual colour for the boots, maybe like a red-ish brown, so they are obviously not meant to match? Would look better like that than ones which were trying to match but failing!

I'd like that for a look, if they were the same shade, with jeans and a not-brown bag

Hmm, I'm still not sure. I think the problem is a photo I have of myself aged around 16, a good few years ago, wearing a white leather jacket and matching boots. Cringeworthy
