In good weather I often wear denim skirts - above the knee - I think the shape is known as A line but they are quite hip skimming and not as full as some A lines can be. Yep, I know I am rubbish at describing things!

Anyway this style/shape suits me and looks right with all my summer tops. CRISIS - denim to be banned from my otherwise casual workplace!!

The challenge - same shape of shirt pref in neutral tones as my tops are colourful. Had no luck in the shops so far.

Thanks - that is the kind of thing I have in mind although a couple are a bit more ££ than I want to spend.
Like the second one from Warehouse best.

Re the 4th link - I don't like button thru' shirts and dresses - shame as that one was reasonable price

These?

Coudroy ones?

Have you looked in Gap? Good for basics is plain/neautral colours. One of the ladies I look after has a beautiful skirt from there, A-line, feels like wool but I've machine washed it so I know it's not.

Hobbs usually do cord skirts in that shape - I have bought a couple from ebay

Gap often do cord ones; also Dickens And Jones.
