Suitable women's clothes for dd

She's nearly 11 but is 5 feet 2 and takes a size 7 shoe. She's in size 10 clothes at the moment. Where can I get her girlish clothes that aren't too short or too low cut? Ordinary tops and t-shirts are fine, but dresses, shoes and party wear are a nightmare to find as most of it's inappropriate. Any ideas?

johnnie b, gap, loads of places i would have thought.

Johnnie B is all too small for her. Gap women's dresses are all too old/low cut/short.

I would say Gap and Benetton. Here in Spain children clothes go up to age 16 so a design for an eight year old is the same for a 16 year old. Your daughter would probably fit clothes intended for a 12 or 14 year old. The spanish brands that do this are Mayoral or Charanga. Maybe look online to see if their websites deliver abroad.

could she wear a t-shirt under low cut dresses? that could look quite funky

sazm · 23/02/2011 10:57

Jane Norman, Zara, Hollister?
my 13yo would live in them if she could

I thought johnnie b went up to age 16? My DD is 5ft 8 and has just got a new top from there. H&M go up to age 14+ which is good for jeans etc. DD is 13 but doesn't have a womans shape yet and their jeans are good for this.

H and M do a range for young people that is sized not by age but the usual 8-16. And a children's collection that goes up to 14+
