What did you use your Boden Voucher on and is it a keeper?

I spent more than I should, which I guess was the point of sending us the voucher Smile I got the lounging bottoms which are great and the plimsolls which are nice but shiney!! It was all going so well...

The skinny jeans are awful, doesnt Johnny get one skinny means? The denim is lovely and soft but the fit is baggy around the bum and thighs and there is no point in keeping them as I know their jeans go even baggier after you have worn them for abit. They dont get anything remotely fashionable right.

Has anyone else bought them? Im annoyed now bbecause I will probably lose the voucher in tthe refund.

I'm annoyed about this too. I got the linen mix jersey top in pebble. The colour doesn't suit me like I hoped it would. It eventually cost me £3.70, and I will be sending it back, only to lose the voucher. I wish I'd chosen better!

tvfriend · 22/02/2011 14:13

Used it on shorts for DD so will def not have to send back.
Blossoming- can't you exchange it for another colour? (not the lilac though, it's horrible...sent it back)

tulpe · 22/02/2011 14:29

I bought the chambray dress in the blue.

I quite like it but wonder if I need to size up as mine is fitting a little more snug than on the model. However, I hate crinkle fabric and am wondering if once it is ironed it will be looser Hmm

Not sure what to do. It did only cost me £15 with discounts and credit so probably worth exchanging.

HotchpotchHoney · 22/02/2011 14:35

I brought knickers for dd1 with my voucher so they won;t be going back, but i did also order two striped sweatshirts, two pairs of skinny jeans, 3 boat neck tops and two other t-shirts all for dd1. so good old johnnie acheived his goal there, give the mug a £15 voucher and she'll spend over £100!Blush

i still haven't worn half the stuff i brought in the wionter sale for myself, and have my spring dresses unworn as well, so i restrained from ordering the maxi skirt, whihc i think will be too clingy and sack like on my unmodel proportions.

tvfriend · 22/02/2011 14:39

The day after I spent my voucher on DD I also sent back £250 worth of stuff so feel I've got one up on Jonny B Grin. However it's only Feb and there's a long time till Summer for me to buy DD/DS even more clothes they'll never wear because we'll probably have another miserable summer (and they have stuff from last years sale anyway)so in the end he will always win...

kittya · 22/02/2011 15:25

Im really annoyed to have wasted it as I know they will take it off my refund

traceybath · 22/02/2011 16:04

I'm sure they'll exchange the voucher if you phone up - they're normally pretty good at doing that.

Am still waiting for downtown heels to arrive but suspect they'll be too big.

HotchpotchHoney · 22/02/2011 16:14

if theres nothign you want to exchange for ring and ask to put the voucher as credit on your account but remember it can only be used up to the 28th february anyway.

flippineck · 22/02/2011 16:16

I'm going to spend it on a pair of the maternity jeans, but not got my behind in gear and actually done it yet. Must do soon.

Anyone seen the jeans IRL?

BitOfFun · 22/02/2011 16:35

Oh, thanks for reminding me! I've just bought my youngest daughter a knitted dress for £11. Bargain.

kittya · 22/02/2011 17:25

Has anyone actually bought anything for themselves and loved it? I mean really loved it.

OP posts:
blossoming · 22/02/2011 17:55

tulpe, have you seen there's a lovely looking chambray dress 'coming in March' on the Isabella Oliver website here. Looks a little bit sexier than the Boden one Wink.

AllTheGoodOnesAreTaken · 22/02/2011 18:06

What I got with the voucher is no good so need to return it. Does it mean I no longer get my £10 off?

CointreauVersial · 22/02/2011 18:23

Stick your unwanted stuff on eBay. You'll probably make more than if you send it back!

blindassassin · 22/02/2011 18:26

You can exchange items and still get the money's worth from the voucher. T&Cs on bottom of voucher state 'If the full order is returned within 3 months of placing the order, we will issue a refund of what was paid, but no further use of the voucher will be permitted unless it is for an exchange. HTH

Tulpe - I quite fancy that chambray dress. Do you mind me asking what height/size you are and what size you ordered?

kittya · 22/02/2011 18:51

I really dont fancy anything to swop the jeans with. What a waste.

QueeferFuckerland · 22/02/2011 19:00

I got some PJs for DS and some "cropped" trousers for me.

The trousers will be going back as they aren't at all cropped. I am average height, but I think I'm all body with stumpy legs.Sad

I sooooo hope I will be refunded the whole cost.

naffedoff · 22/02/2011 19:37

I got the £15 voucher and bought the white/navy breton top for myself and nothing else at all. The top cost £7.50, arrived today and is great value for that price - definitely a keeper!

blindassassin · 22/02/2011 19:47

Kittya and others - surely as long as what you are keeping is worth more than the £10 or £15 voucher anyway, you will not lose out? Or am I missing something? Confused

lucyspangle · 22/02/2011 19:48

Another Breton top-God it was a struggle to find something to use the voucher on.

kittya · 22/02/2011 20:03

Its happened to me before they will refund me the jeans minus £15, you end up paying full prce for the other things you bought, its hard to explain but, I know what I mean!!Smile

OP posts:
blindassassin · 22/02/2011 20:08

Oh I see what you mean. That's ridiculous! That might happen to me as well then, as I ordered the sleeveless one button merino cardi for my mum for mother's day, a Johnnie B scarf for me. Turns out my mum ordered the exact same thing with her voucher, so back it goes. May swap it for one for me in red. Already have it in navy and it's lovely. Smile

mollymole · 22/02/2011 20:12

bit sad but can't find ANYTHING that i want to put the vouchers towards

tulpe · 22/02/2011 20:24

Okay, have had another look at the fit of the chambray dress on the website and decided to return for next size up.

blossoming I like that IO dress but bitter experience tells me that shape will look like a dodgy nurses uniform on me :o.

blindassasin I ordered an 8R. I am usually an 8 in tops from Boden but their trousers vary between 8 and 10 depending on cut. I am 5'6" and the regular is the perfect length. Any longer and it would be frumpy IMO. It isn't mini in a bum-skimming way! I think it is the perfect length for this style.

blindassassin · 22/02/2011 20:42

Tulpe thanks for the info. Am 5'8" 8-10 in Boden so will probably order a 10R and get the fake tan out Grin. Can see what you mean about the long length taking it into frump territory.

Mollymole how about one of the JohnnieB butterfly scarves here? I have the coral one already and the navy one on the way, and they're lovely and fairly bargainous with the voucher + 15% code.
