tis the time of the year and it will get better in spring and summer!

Blessings3 · 21/02/2011 15:59

Agree with Chandon central heating and rain/cold make everyone look grey this time of year- drink loads of water also slap on some moisturiser then look for some new clothes in fab spring colours

cheeryface · 21/02/2011 21:19

Well this same thing happened to me today and I got Olay wrinkle cream. It cost #10.50 and I might be wishful thinking here but I am sure that it smoothed out the two wrinkles I've got.
I would recommend that as well as drinking loads of water. :)

Cream depends on your skin type and what you already use and if you are not using anything - slap on the wrist ! Soap and glory do a fab scrub and 21 day treatment cream - worth looking at your hair colour as well a few highlights/lowlights can really brighten your face

Gotabookaboutit · 22/02/2011 08:14

And The water is the cheepest and easiest thing - the weather at the moment is very drying also maybe worth getting a good omega3/fax oil supplement

Agree with everything that everyone else has said, cheeryface:

Masses of water - get a 750ml refillable water bottle. Cart it around with your and refill it several times a day.
Fish oil supplement
Good skincare routine - Try Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish (lovely cleansing balm that you use with a muslin cloth and hot water); SPF 15 moisturiser every day; anti-wrinkle product at night (I use Revitalift by L'Oreal because it contains Retin A which apparently actually "works")

I sometimes use a very subtle amount of fake tan (I use the St Tropez spray with the green cap and just spray a very light mist over my face). I don't want to look tan-tastic/ Tango'd but I find that the very subtlest amount gives me a "healthy glow". Not too much though - don't want anyone to ask me where I've been on my holidays!

thanx everyone . i dont think its helped that i have had a very stressful time over the last 6 months and also been made to feel guilty about spending any money on myself. therefore have been slapping allsorts of rubbish things on my face. One was an emollient cream ds2 had off the doc and that made me all flaky.
so, i am now supping the water and this afternoon i am actually going to treat myself to some skin products. Yay !
must dash, need to pee....again lol

... one last thing (I've been feeling this way, too!): a little pop of pinky blusher on the apples of your cheeks ALWAYS helps! You can use your lipstick!
