No chip black nail polish

Hello ladies, I am looking for a no chip black nail polish to wear for a wedding this weekend. I am fairly clumsy hard on my nails, so it has to be a really good one as I don't want it to wear away during the day and look naff. Any recommendations?

yes, any old nail varnish but 2 lots of top coat

FWIW I find OPI good, if they do a black, and No 17 has always lasted well on me

I like Rimmel Black Pearl. I use a layer of basecoat, two of colour and then one of topcoat, running the brush around the front edge of the nail too. I usually have to run the brush of the black around the edges of the nails after 24 hours though, but it only takes seconds and can keep going for several days by doing that.

I like Barry M for long lasting nail varnish, and agree, base coat, 2 coats of colour and top coat.
I have just had Shellac done (in a salon) it's applied exactly the same as normal nail varnish but each layer is set under a uv lamp, meaning it's dry instantly and lasts for weeks, looking shiney and lovely.

Illamasqua's nail polishes seem to last better than most on me. They do two blacks, Boosh - Glossy black and Scorn - Matte (I'd say semi matte, I have it) Black which is nice and looks a bit like black latex.

Thanks everyone, guess I have been going wrong by never wearing a basecoat before!

Rannaldini - not as far as I know but I haven't seen the brides dress! Just fancied something different!
