I've tried gazillions but my favourite is (luckily!) not too pricey at all. It's soap and glory's the scrub of your life. Brilliant. Just abrasive enough, not too harsh

And i hope you are not too broken hearted, poor you. Incidentally i did find breaking up the best diet regime in the world. Now i'm happily married I'm fat!

moaningminniewhingesagain · 20/02/2011 19:02

I like Clinique Sparkle Skin, lovely and mentholly.

polarfox · 20/02/2011 19:44

I bought 2 weeks ago The Laura Mercier fig one (they run out of pistachio which was the one I wanted!!) It's fab and lasts ages- get it!!! Smells gorgeous and moisturises well too xx

Umnitsa · 20/02/2011 20:00

I started using Clarins body scrub when I was pregnant to prevent stretchmarks and really liked it so continue buying it now.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 20/02/2011 20:03

I invested in a body brush from Elemis and have found it miles nicer than a scrub.

TigerseyeMum · 20/02/2011 20:10

Ren Rose Otto scrub.

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 20/02/2011 20:29

Agree with Cristiane re Soap and Glory, it is as good, if not better, than expensive ones I have tried.

MoonGirl1981 · 20/02/2011 20:52

Another vote for Soap and Glory here.

bluebump · 20/02/2011 20:53

Another Clinique vote here.

tulpe · 20/02/2011 21:02

Love the sound of Ren Rose Otto

Really like The Sanctuary salt scrub. I use it on dry skin then soak it off in the bath. No need for moisturiser afterwards and it smells heavenly

NancyDrewHadaClue · 20/02/2011 21:08

I really, really like the French Connection sugar scrub which you can buy in boots.

It has a lovely thick consistency and I can't get enough of the fragrance plus it really seals in moisture so no need to moisturise after.

TigerseyeMum · 20/02/2011 21:48

tulpe If you like Rse Oto stuff check out the Dr Organic range on Holland and Barrett, they have everything in that smell including face scrub, shampoo, the lot. I have the facial oil and it's very good, easily rivals the Ren stuff.

I also have the Ren Rose Otto collection

PukeyMummy · 20/02/2011 21:57

Another vote for The Santuary Salt Scrub here!

I have just got St Ives apricot body scrub as I always loved their face scrub, it's pretty good if you like something fairly scrubby - I find a lot of the other sorts either not particularly effective (a bit feeble) or a bit sharp and scratchy (mostly the salt ones). Also it's relatively cheap!

I don't usually like sugar or salt scrubs much, as they often seem to melt away a bit quick before they have given you a really good scrub, also the jar always seems to end up full of oily/watery mush with hardly any scrubby stuff left towards the end, so you don't get full value out of it! So prefer to go for the ones with actual solid "bits" in, like St. Ives or Body Shop.

mathanxiety · 21/02/2011 05:05

I had an Arbonne sea salt scrub ages ago and loved it. I didn't buy it again because it was pricey but it was nice and had a lovely scent. It made the bathroom smell like a spa.

barbieisaskinnybitch · 21/02/2011 14:18

Soap & Glory are, IMO, the Queen of Scrubs. The Scrub of Your Life is great, and kinda foams a bit too so easy to use but Flake Away is the alltime Daddy - teeny 'bits' so they get into every nook & cranny & it leaves a dry-oil sheen to your skin. Crazy good. They do others which smell great but SoYL & FA are the best for results. Though agree others would look 'posher' in your bathroom.

TrillianAstra · 21/02/2011 14:21

I agree with NancyDrew - the French Connection one leaves you covered in lovely-smelling oils (in a good way I promise)

Meglet · 21/02/2011 14:22

Either the Soap & Glory ones or Lush Aqua Mirabilis.

njhc · 22/02/2011 18:35

thanks everyone, i did succomb to the laura mercier one (you know how it is when you get something into your head!) and will be testing tonight! i am definately going to get soap and glory next time im near a boots to try

Clarins smoothing body scrub is lovely.

tulpe I had the Sanctuary one and used it once as it started to burn my boobsConfused, then in a panic I knocked the whole jar into the bath and it was no more! Gawd knows what was in it that I reacted too.

Emo76 · 22/02/2011 21:17

Soap and Glory scrub of your life here. Clinique sparkle skin good too. I find the FCUK one smells too sweet (if it's the one I am thinking of!)

njhc · 22/02/2011 22:33

update....just done my laura mercier pistachio scrub. wow my skin feels like butter and my whole flat smells like a spa. I AM VERY IMPRESSED!

the scrub is really concentrated too, i only needed a very small amount to scrub my whole body, hardly made any dent in the 300g jar, i reckon it will last a long long time if used once a week, maybe 3 months (12 apps) or more. enough roughage too, it feels like its working. worth the money i think.
