I am a fatty - will this look ridiculous, or will it mask my heft?

I like it and think that it would be flattering. Smile I am a size 18 right now and wear tops similar to that, and I always get complimented.

plasticface · 20/02/2011 17:50

Looks nice. Like your phrase "mask my heft"!

Emo76 · 20/02/2011 17:58

hmmm not sure - simply because I am not sure it is that flattering on the slender model.

Gillybobs · 20/02/2011 18:09

Im a busty size 16 and I avoid tops like that. I think all the volume adds extra bulk. Agree with Emo, its not flattering on the model and she is very slim. Sorry : (

Imnotaslimjim · 20/02/2011 18:16

I'm currently a 22, and wear tops like that to mask the heft. Goes well with a pair of well fitting trousers

polyhymnia · 20/02/2011 18:26

I'm a 22, and wouldn't wear a top like that. First, I don't want to showcase the tops of my arms (as you can see it does in the black colourway)- but yours may be toned, in which case, that isn't a problem. Second, I personally prefer something with more definition, as I have an hourglass shape, and a loose top that just drops from my large bust definitely makes me look even larger. Third, have to say that, in any case, like Emo, I don't really like it on the model.

notyummy · 20/02/2011 18:42

Hmm, I think it could look quite stylish, but suspect on someone lithe with long slim limbs poking out of it. On most people it could just make you look boxy...and yes, people will focus on your arms, so if you have the upper arm wobble that many of us suffer from it may not be ideal.

notyummy · 20/02/2011 18:47

How about this in black or blue?

or this?

RachelHRD · 20/02/2011 19:53

How about this? I think it might be more flattering.

YouCantTeuchThis · 20/02/2011 21:26

I think I agree with the majority that it is not that flattering on the model...

Notyummy, thanks for the links - not really 'me' though Smile

Thanks Rachel, that is more me and I have a monsoon top that does that drop waist thing and is lovely!

Oh the one on Rachels link is lovely, If they do it in a bright colour it will look even more fab!

polyhymnia · 20/02/2011 23:34

You're probably not very large at all - but in any case hope you find something great!
