miss piggy eyes

I don't usually wear make-up, my routine is pretty much moisturiser, mascara and lip balm, but I just got the Clique freebie set and it included a lip gloss, so I thought I would try it and... ta da, instant miss piggy eyes! Confused What happened there then??

Maybe because gloss reflects light and makes any thing you put it on bigger, i guess eyes might look smaller by comparison?
