Help needed re shape - been watching too much Gok!

So...having been watching avidly the new series of Gok, I have finally worked out I think I'm top-heavy because my shoulders are wider than my hips. But I still don't have a clue what suits me.

I really hate my shoulders - they look like broad swimmer shoulders. The rest of me is ok - size 12, got boobs, bit of fat round my middle but not disasterous and slim legs and hips.

So what the hell do I wear to narrow my shoulders a bit more?

Wide leg pants should balance out the broadness, I reckon.
Don't cinch your waist in!
I'd quite like some broad shoulders :o

To be honest, I don't rate Gok's new season. I actually cringe at some of the makeovers. For example, today he made-over one woman from the "crowd" of volunteers (not the main racecourse women)...she came in a smock top and jeans (ok, not ideal and very frumpy) but then he put her in a wrap dress with a huge belt and basically her boobs were sticking out a mile in front of her! I couldn't take my eyes off her "hellooo boys" tits. It made her look awful.

If you notice, all the "before" footage has the women slouching and sad. The "after" shots has them standing tall with make-up and a broad smile and then they dance joyfully at their metamorphosis

I know that doesn't answer your question Blush. I just wanted to say not to take Gok too seriously. Have fun with your clothes. Wear what makes you happy. If you feel fabulous in what you're wearing you'll look fabulous too Smile Anyway, you sound like you have a fab figure...you could probably get away with a potato sack and a belt Grin

No thin straps or puff sleeves or epaulettes

Flared or a line skirts

No teeny ballet flats or thin stilettos, you need substantial heels

Be careful with skinnies or leggings

Oh and you needtp show some flesh at your neck-scoop, v or sweetheart necklines. Not boat or crew

This is my shape too - and I rather like my shoulders as they look good in a strapless dress, though it is difficult to find one that fits because my rib cage is so big.
I almost always wear v necks, or a low neck of some kind, with cami if necessary. Heels for a longer look and nothing too bulky or fussy around the neck. Last summer I looked best in skinny jeans, v necked gauze trimmed T shirt ( Jigsaw) with a silk trimmed v necked cardigan on top ( that actually had a little bustle at the back, which was unusual an nice too) probably a fashion faux pas but silver heeled sandals looked nice with this.
