what to wear to retro warehouse club night?

help! ages since i've been out clubbing, what do people wear?? jeans will be allowed here i think, its a gay friendly set-up. (so less townie i'm thinking)
i/m a size 12-14, age 39, last time i went anywhere like this i was in a mini gress and adidas sambas! please help..(oh and in my 20s!)

Oh dear, I'm no help, but I'd be lurking around Camden market or Topshop(at a push)for inspiration if you live in London.
