Have recently (in an attempt to cut sparkly makeup from my now middle-aged (though lookin' good, I have to say!) face.

Decided to "treat" myself to a few basics from Ms Brown. I came away with three items....a foundation, shimmer-free bronzer and a blusher. I took in my favourite blush to do a shade comparison (but to get a siminlar one without sparkly bits) and in the pan, the one I bought and the one I have already look almost identical.

But, when it's on my skin, the blusher is nowt like the colour in the pan. It's quite peachy (nay...orange!) so, I look a bit tangoed, what with the bronzer and then the blush. So, yes I am "shimmer-free" but now I'm orange!

How amenable do you think BB will be to my carting this back. It was so expensive and a real treat "buy" but now I'm not sure it'll get worn.

The foundation and bronzer are very light and I love them both! Have now gone back to my old shimmery cheap blusher.

yes go back
look pathetic

I think matt bronzer is very hard to pull off really - a little shimmer is good.

Take them back and see what they have to say.

Won't be difficult....feel pretty pathetic forking out such a ludicrous amount of hard-earned on face paint!

Put your makeup on - with BB blusher - so the girls can see it on - then ask their advice for a new blusher. Go in early doors before they get busy and I'm sure they'll help you. Though I love their shimmer block for blusher.

I love BB blusher but I find their matt bronzer made me look like Id smeared my face in orangey mud. Id def take it back and say they advised you and you are not happy. Before you do though Id recommend trying the blusher on its own. I find them incredibely good quality/long lasting

aLegonEachCorner · 18/02/2011 09:14

Gillybobs....have tried blush on it's own. It's NOT as orange but still is not the pink shade I'd thought.

Funny thing is, I tried it on in the store. It looked fine - but in daylight/reality it is an orangey/peachy shade on me and not something I'd have gone for. It's supposed to be pinky!

What to do?

Take it back and ask to swap or sell on Ebay.

Gillybobs · 18/02/2011 12:03

Def take it back. tell them you bought it on their recommendation and im sure they will swap it

YoginiBikini · 18/02/2011 12:08

They're usually good at swapping things if it doesn't work for you when you get home
