...the new one on their website, pale blue with white polka dots.

Honest opinions please...is it somewhat nappy-bag-ish and/or studenty? Or suitable as a pretty spring/summer bag for a 30-something??

Thanks Smile

beijingaling · 17/02/2011 16:26

Sorry..

A really nice one though!

supadupapupascupa · 17/02/2011 16:33

oh I LOVE this bag..... just told DH so Smile

I would however be using as a nappy bag....sorry

southeastastra · 17/02/2011 16:34

love them alot

Gillybobs · 17/02/2011 16:35

It says Nappy Bag to me too...however I guess if you feel it fits with your overall style it is a lovely bag. I have a young friend (early 20s) who uses last years version , she has a very 50s vibe, always in teadress and cardi, and it suits her very well

slinkyboo · 17/02/2011 16:57

Thank you...that's kind of what I thought Sad

If only they did that pattern but in more of a handbag style...

Ah well, search continues!

My 15 year old sister has this. After an accident involving DS' juice i thought about borrowing it but just couldn't do it. Says very young person to me, so much so that i opted for hessian shopping bag instead. Seems alot of money for a bit of oil cloth to.

beanlet · 17/02/2011 17:24

CK does a mini saddlebag this season in a greygreen mini spot which is quite classy. Personally I find her fabrics twee, and yet I have one each of the saddlebag and mini saddlebag and they are the perfect sized bags for everythint. I can't do without them. Plus in the oilcloth they're really sturdy. I'd get it if I were you!

beanlet · 17/02/2011 17:25

Sigh... everything

Gillybobs · 17/02/2011 17:42

Ooo Boden satchel's lovely

slinkyboo · 17/02/2011 18:05

I got very excited about the Boden satchel - thank you southeastastra - it's gorgeous - until I read the reviews!! Nearly everyone complains about the strap being badly designed...

Anyone got it in RL??

I really don't think those bags are worth the ridiculous price tags.

Make your own one, like I did!Grin

MordechaiVanunu · 18/02/2011 08:39

I like the CK bag. I like her messenger bags too.

I'm looking for a practical bag with compartments for across the body for the summer, in particular thinking of hols but would also use it more generally too.

I want a bag with compartments so I can organise mycstuff, I'm sick of rooting around in my bag for my keys.

I've been looking at Kipling bags the Avlar looks good, but obviously Id have to remove the stuffed monkey. Why ffs??

slinkyboo · 18/02/2011 09:11

Agree monkey naff and somewhat creepy.

So anyone tried the kipping bags? Are they good quality?

I may get my mum the CK bag for mothers day.

Gillybobs · 18/02/2011 12:11

I have 4 (or 5?) Kipling bags but Im very specific about which ones I buy....some of them are HIDEOUS. I loved the Rock Heaven collection from last year like this or like this Very modern adn sleek and brilliant for organising. they dont have the stuffed monkey. They do have a metallic monkey face thing (not as bad as it sounds) which can be removed.

As i say, brilliant bags, durable and stylish and v v practical. Just avoid anything lilac or that comes with the furry monkey : )

beanlet · 18/02/2011 12:19

You know, I think the quality of Boden has dramatically gone down lately, without any subsequent reduction in price. I wouldn't. But I have succumbed to Cath Kidston despite not much liking her fabric patterns because the quality and functionality are truly excellent.

mippy · 18/02/2011 17:07

I have this in a dark green and really like it, but it matches my look iyswim.
