Peeptoe ankle boots/shoe boots?

Sorry if this thread has been done before. Does anyone actually wear peeptoe ankle boots/shoe boots?

For a long time I was scathing about them (partly because of their sheer impracticality), but I'm starting to think they look quite funky. Would like to know what others reckon before I make a reckless purchase! :)

I think they're really vile, sorry!

anon80 · 16/02/2011 15:32

I will be getting a pair to wear this spring, with dresses :) but i like being diffrent and am sure i can make it work

Im 24 if that helps

TrillianAstra · 16/02/2011 15:35

They look ridiculous to me.

AintMissBeehiving · 16/02/2011 16:26

I have some Steve Madden ones in black and wear them with slouchy peg leg trousers and grey cable knit or cashmere socks. They look fab aksherly. Smile

In the summer I wear them with bare legs and painted toe nails.

CointreauVersial · 16/02/2011 16:34

You see, therein lies the problem.

I don't have any "slouchy peg leg trousers" to hand.

Funky boots they may be, but unless you have a funky wardrobe/style to go with them they look pretty stoopid.

But MissB, you sound like you rock the look.

voiceofnoreason · 16/02/2011 17:30

Sorry - but they are wrong on every level - I am yet to see a pair that looks good! With Trillian on this one I'm afraid.

pink4ever · 16/02/2011 17:46

Nope vile and impossible to carry off if you over 25 and not gorgeous.

AintMissBeehiving · 16/02/2011 17:56

Shock Oh ye of little faith Grin

gregssausageroll · 16/02/2011 18:07

I class them in the same category as gladiator sandals and boots. utterly horrid.

FaffTastic · 17/02/2011 20:01

I like them on other people but not on me

yogididabooboo · 17/02/2011 20:04

I love them.
With skinny jeans, leggings, "mc hammer pants"...almost anything.

I especially love them with jumpsuits.

yogididabooboo · 17/02/2011 20:07

i have These though annoyingly bought at full price.

TerrorFirmer · 17/02/2011 20:10

FluffyMummy123 · 17/02/2011 20:11

LoopyLoopsHulaHoops · 17/02/2011 20:11

chandellina · 17/02/2011 20:19

turn back now. they are an embarassment to fashion.

CointreauVersial · 18/02/2011 15:16

Oi iCod! Who you calling a nob?

I just didn't want to rain on MissB's picnic. Mainly cos she'd get wet toes, ho ho.

MoonGirl1981 · 18/02/2011 15:25

Just joined in to agree about the gladiator sandals and boots.

Girls round my way wore them out clubbing, got sweaty feet/drinks spilt on them and the next morning had blue/black unremovable stains up their legs.

Fashion??

Verso · 18/02/2011 15:35

I think I'm starting to like them MORE because of the intense negative reactions on this thread. Does that make me weird?! Wink Grin

I see the ASOS ones are called "tragedy". Never a more fitting name for such a crime against fashion
