Soap and glory recommendations?

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 16/02/2011 14:09

Have a £20 Boots voucher that I'd like to spend on Soap and Glory.

Which products would you recommend?

Seems to be a 3 for 2 offer and I'm thinking that the Motherpucker stuff could be one of them. But will it hurt? Which one? Will it make me look like I've had plastic surgery?

Can you help?

The body butter is lovely.

So is the 'flake away' stuff.

And 'hand food' is the best hand cream EVER!!

FoundWanting · 16/02/2011 14:21

Love 'Hocus Focus' skin brightener. I've been mixing it with my foundation to give a lighter, fresher look.

crazybutterflylady · 16/02/2011 14:21

^^ what she said! :)

crazybutterflylady · 16/02/2011 14:22

oops x-posts. I meant what MoonGirl said.

barbieisaskinnybitch · 16/02/2011 16:30

Sexy MP won't make you look like you've had surgery but it will tingle (in a pins & needles way) for abit to get your lips pumped up. Is brill. Flake Away is the best scrub. Righteous Butter the best body butter. Hand Food amazing. Heel Genius turns reptilian feet into soft smooth wonders. You MUST get Fab Pore Facial Peel (best face mask ever)the facial care range is all great...Oh God I could go on & on...!!

Evizza · 16/02/2011 17:02

All of it Grin

The Body Butter is fab, so is the scrub and LOVE the Fab Pore Facial Peel that Barbie mentions above !!

cabbageroses · 16/02/2011 17:27

I've got a body scrub and used the foot and hand cream before. I do like their stuff but find the smell a bit overpowering at times.

MrsMeow · 16/02/2011 19:47

S&G is my new passion, I'm such a fickle whore!

Seriously though, you can't go wrong with most of their products. I've spent a fair whack on stupidly expensive higher brand products, and actually prefer S&G.

The body scrubs are excellent, as are the moisturisers. The shampoo & conditioner is good, but you do have to make sure that you rinse your hair for a good while, otherwise it can feel a bit heavy. Good for deep conditioning treatments though.

The face brightner stuff is amaaaazing. As is the Liz Earle alike hot cloth cleanser (just as good as LE)

Since Saturday I've been using the face cream called 'Wish Upon A Jar'. My skin (dry patches, prone to open pores and spots) looks AMAZING already. You can only use it for 21 days though so no good for longer term, but I usually use the normal body moisturiser on my face anyway as it really helps the dry bits :)

bristolcities · 16/02/2011 19:53

Love sexy MP i use it in conjunction with two faced lip injection and it does give a fake lip look, in a good way.

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 16/02/2011 23:53

Hi, sorry, been out.

Lots to think about thanks, I now need to go back and stare at the counter and make some decisions.

I will be back when I've done that.

I can highly recommend the 'Bright Here Bright Now' instant-radiance energy balm. I think you are supposed to use it like a moisturiser or mix it with foundation, but I use it as a highlighter. Gives a really lovely sheen! Smile

Elemental · 17/02/2011 10:17

I'm using the Wish Upon A Jar at the minute too and yes, it does seem to be making a difference.

neverright · 17/02/2011 17:34

Considering Wish Upon a star now...damn these threadsSmile

neverright · 17/02/2011 17:35

sorry I meant Jar although I'll need a miracle with my skin at the moment.

MarioandLuigi · 17/02/2011 20:57

The Feel The Knead is great as a anti-cellulite treatment, though you have to be very gentle with it.

Love the breakfast body scrub, and the Clear Here moisturiser too.

Its all on 3 for 2 in Boots at the moment, so you will get even more for your money.

barbieisaskinnybitch · 18/02/2011 09:23

Wish Upon A Jar is amazing, really brightens skin & freshened me up from all this central heating leading to sallow skin. Lasts ages - you get at least 3 21day cycles out of one jar. Bargain.

Still not bought my treats

Went to local Boots and only a limited range

Will try to visit a bigger one over the weekend

Scrub your nose in it is good, my blackheads seem to disappear after I've used it.

MisSalLaneous · 18/02/2011 22:45

I'm not so keen on the Breakfast body scrub's smell, but love everything else I've tried.

varyingdegreesofdeafness · 18/02/2011 22:47

Def Bright here bright now: love to use it instead of foundation as i don't like feeling / looking 'caked' with makeup but this really flatters your skin without full slap on, i'm really pale and it definately makes a difference to my appearance

Buddhastic · 19/02/2011 14:05

Why can you only use it for 21 days at a time?

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 21/02/2011 17:59

Right, finally bought my three things.

Went for the Motherpucker (now have fizzing lips, not sure if they have grown though, any tips?)

Also the Heel Genius and the Sugar Crush.

Really wanted the face mask thingy but she said it was not part of the 3/2 offer for reasons that did not make sense

Thanks for all advice

barbieisaskinnybitch · 21/02/2011 18:16

Buddhastic - it's quite a strong collagen cream so they recommend 21 days evry 3 months, though I think you can use it after a fortnights break really if your skin needs it.

IYHAYKI - wet your lips before applying sexymp.

DrSpechemin · 21/02/2011 18:18

I have the Bright Here Bright Now and it leaves little white dry bits all over my sking - not sure why? I am rubbing it in too hard? Not sure if it makes any difference to my skin either?

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 21/02/2011 18:56

Thanks Barbie. I will try that next time. It feels weird.
