I think someone should find space for this in their wardrobe
what a lovely shape of dress.

someone must want it :)

Nice, but I have several plain black dresses already.

Someone tall (taller than me) should buy this.

EdgarAleNPie · 15/02/2011 18:16

that's a lovely dress. very Grecian and Goddess looking.

much better than this

That really is quite trashy.

Whereas this just oozes class. Please buy it.

You know you want to.

EdgarAleNPie · 15/02/2011 21:16

Lovely dresses! I have been lusting after this. Could someone buy it so I can live vicariously through you?

EdgarAleNPie · 15/02/2011 21:23

ooh would i look like Garbo in this?

probably not to be honest. but it is lush.

Anglomania! My life's ambition is to one day own an Anglomania. Not sourced from a charity shop or from eBay...oh no! A true Anglomania come straight from Vivien's workshop to my wardrobe

tethersend · 15/02/2011 21:31

This is nice and a bit VWA...

BelligerentGhoul · 15/02/2011 21:32

The pink VW one is quite thin and cheap looking irl. In fact, most of the Anglomania stuff in store at the mo is a bit shabby looking imo. I have been in four times since the beginning of the year to try and buy something (had a small bonus at work and seriously deserve a treat) but nothing jumped out.

I've got one Anglomania dress and one Red Label skirt and adore them - but nothing looks as good right now.

I wouldn't say no to this though, if somebody else was buying!

FoundWanting · 15/02/2011 21:46

You have broken my heart BelligerentGhoul.

I tried a Red Label skirt on last season and it was fantastic. I would have to sell a child or a kidney to justify it though.

Someone has to buy the shoes from that link though.

celticlassie · 15/02/2011 21:59

Good Lord, that VW dress is beautiful, Foundwanting. I've never wanted anything so much. Could never afford it though. Sad

celticlassie · 15/02/2011 22:01

Or Anglomania as you're all calling it. I'll go back to Topshop now. Blush

FoundWanting · 15/02/2011 22:11

celticlassie it is "thin and cheap looking irl"

You don't get that level of disappointment in Topshop now do you?

BelligerentGhoul · 15/02/2011 22:23

Everything in Topshop is thin and cheap looking! :)

I was disappointed with the VW pink - it looks so promising. Or maybe it was just my fat arse that made it look cheap? :) There were some lovely cotton dresses too with dipped necklines but again, v v thin.

My Red Label skirt was seriously reduced in the sales - only 95 pounds as opposed to something like 350. I was a v happy lady! :)

FoundWanting · 16/02/2011 11:28

BUY THIS!! BUY IT NOW!!

Pleeeaaassee. Grin

FellatioNelson · 16/02/2011 11:44

Yes and while you are at it with that Donna Karan, please make sure you get these to go with it.

PoledrathePissedOffFairy · 16/02/2011 11:49

Why did I open this htread? Edgar, I want that Matthew Williamson dress so badly. I'm 5'10'' and a size 12 (with big norks). I'd look shit in it, wouldn't I?

(say yes, pleeeeaaassseee, as there is no way I can justify that price tag!).

EdgarAleNPie · 16/02/2011 13:13

foundwanting you know, even though i dislike linen, and khaki, i bloody love that dress.

poledra i hate to say it (honest :)) but i think you would look totally amazing in that Mattew Williamson dress. Like a wonderful bohemian lady relaxing imbetween salons. Big norks and tall are what that dress is made for.

OP posts:
EdgarAleNPie · 16/02/2011 13:13

those shoes would be perfect with it, and red nails & handabag (or is matching like that passe?)

OP posts:
EdgarAleNPie · 16/02/2011 13:16

oooh alexander mcqueen

those shoes would look nice with that too.

i think we need to persuade many mNers to buy soething, so probably if i went down to the 1-200 range I'd snag some more...

OP posts:
FoundWanting · 16/02/2011 13:18

poledra Buy it now and then come back and gloat.

EdgarAleNPie · 16/02/2011 13:20

like this gem from Anglomania

OP posts:
FoundWanting · 16/02/2011 13:22

Maxi skirt, anyone?

Although I don't think they've styled it brilliantly here, I'd love to think that someone out there has the kind of life that requires this skirt.

FoundWanting · 16/02/2011 13:26

I'd go for the Alexander McQueen personally. It looks like a softer red.

I wonder if someone would buy Fellatio's shoes in the brown... Off to buy a lottery ticket now.

EdgarAleNPie · 16/02/2011 13:53

i agree the stylin of that maxi skirt is far from inspired - i'd have tried to find some fantastic high-necked cream or white shirt...

like this

but probably more fitted.. to look a bit like a leather and lace Wilhelmina Harker.
