Recommendations for a good tinted moisturiser please?

Can any of you ladies recommend a really good tinted moisturiser? I've used the Laura Mercier one for two years so I don't mind paying more for a good one.

I'm very pale with dark red hair, so I don't want anything that makes me look like an orange faced slapper. Any advice?

I'm on the look out too but have decided while the boots no7 looks and feels nice, it actually darkens and goes patchy after a couple of hours.

I had a sample of the estee lauder one last summer think i liked it just didn't want to pay out for it.

The clinique lady told me a new one is being released 11th march which i shall probably save myself for. Its part of the moisture surge range.

Thanks miche8 - I like Clinique myself. I wish they'd give samples though.

Chanel's Hydramax is excellent and contains spf50 too.

There was a thing on tinted moisturisers in the Guardian on Saturday. IIRC, the Laura Mercier one came out as the best. Estee Lauder and Origins did well too. I rate the Bobbi Brown heavy duty moisturising balm one personally.

I've tried a few but always come back to Laura Mercier - not surprised they came out best in Guardian survey.

Have also found Chantecaille and By Terry good, if pricy - if you're near a Space NK, you may like to try those. My other big favourite is Becca, but they're not sold in all that many places, unfortunately - though in London are at Fenwicks and have their own shop.

And I too like the Bobbi Brown moisturising balm in winter - gives a nice glow.

Armani Face Fabric is great. It is pretty expensive but lasts for a long time.

I like Estee Lauder Day Tint release - it's a moisturiser but the tint only appears when you put it on your skin.

I've got very pale skin and it worked well for me.

Without sounding like a fooooool, I've found the M&S Per Una one to be the best...I found the Chanel VitaLumiere (SP) far too greasy and the M&S one has a lovely brightening effect, and it's only about £8

I've tried loads and always end up orange/yellow. They're all just so dark - even the "Light" ones. I need one labelled "Corpse".

I usually end up just mixing a little bit of normal foundation with a blob of moisturiser.

Frizzbonce · 15/02/2011 15:08

Thank you so much ladies. CalamityKate - yes I know what you mean about 'corpse'. Sometimes the 'light' shades are positively Pat Butcher-esque!

another becca fan here, have been using it for years, it's lovely

I use the Nivea tinted moisturiser, just enough coverage and looks nice and natural.
