ridiculous, but true - I'm totally rubbish at casual dressing now

Work clothes - I am beyond sorted. I have an awesome working wardrobe, but as I'm now so used to wearing formal shirts etc., dressing casually now feels really odd and when I wear things like t shirts and stuff, I feel like a right muppet (and a bit muttony, though I'm 29). Recommendations for non-twatty casual clothes please? I prefer skirts to trousers (weirdy tops of thighs that go in)

TIA

Maybe some loose tunic/jersey dresses that could be worn with opaques, leggings or over skinny jeans?

Have to admit I usually wear jeans for casual dressing so am not that much help!

In the summer though I wear quite a lot of maxis/maxi skirts - could they be an option?

I've got a good friend who's like this... Whenever I've been shopping with her she can't help but drift off towards the tailoring and unless I man-handle her away, she's trying on power jackets!

I can't promise you that my dress-sense will be deemed non-twatty by everyone but I'll tell you what sort of stuff I wear for ordinary "every day" sorts of days:

Stretchy jersey dresses with cotton sheer tights and biker boots

Jersey or fine-knit tunic-y sort of thing with leggings and boots

Nice t-shirt top (White Stuff?) with a fine-knit cardi and a denim mini (Esprit - not very mini though - above the knee but not "pussy pelmet"!) with cotton sheer tights and same biker boots

Skinny jeans tucked into boots with a nice t-shirt top and a cashmere cardi

I tend to go for plain, neutral things but I then put lovely accessories with them - I've got a fab belt from Joseph, some lovely boots from Jones Bootmaker, a good (Mulberry) bag, beautiful/ funky jewellery...

Is this any help?

Thanks for the suggestions. Will look into it.

It's so weird - I spent my late teens and early twenties walking around looking like a homeless hippy, and now dressing casual just feels odd.

I'm a Fat Face casual dresser. Not the hoodies, but skirts / leggings / boots with t-shirt & cardy (god forbid waterfall).

Or my baggy jeans with tight(ish) knitted jumper and converse.

I prefer skirts in summer and have ridiculous vast amount of FF skirts, I love them.

I too have a selection of Boden (sshh) cardi's / tops for casual.
