Spanx again - how to wear with tights?

Okey doke, so I know there are loads of posts out there about spanx but I can't seem to find out how to wear them with tights.

I have the actual spanx tights, but for the dress I'd like to wear they are not going to be, erm...'supportive' enough! I need my tummy and waist to be really sucked in. BUT the dress I'm wearing really needs to be worn with opaque tights because I'm not sure that bare legs will work with my LBD.

So is it possible to wear spanx knickers over the top or underneath tights?

Any advice gratefully received!

Thanks.

Underneath tights is fine - just make sure you get the nude spanx! I frequently wear both.

Ok great, thanks scotsgirl. Which ones do you have? So much choice!

Does wearing tights over slippery pants not mean you end up withthem down by your knees???

I always wear a second pair of Big Pants over the top of tights to stop the inevitable drift into Norah Batty wrinkles.

But then I'm clearly a sex kitten...

Proper Spanx aren't particularly slippery fabric so no issues with drift here at all! they're certainly rougher/grippier than skin

I have the higher power spanx - debenhams and john lewis both stock them I think. They are the only ones I have found to work, cheaper ones are useless!

I have the flesh coloured spanx that go from knee righ up to your bra. They're fab, totally worth the £££. Tights over the top no probs.

I wear opaque hold ups with spanx-makes going to the loo a whole lot easier!!

LB500 · 14/02/2011 21:55

Didn't know there was such a thing as opaque hold ups-thanks doggydaft.

And everyone else thanks for your replies too!
