Can only Brunettes look truly 'chic'?

I've realised of late that most of the stylish, chic ladies I admire when out and about [mad stalker] seem to be brunette.

Now I'm not saying ladies with blonde /red / other hair colours can't also look fabulous... but it never seems to be in that insouciant chic manner that brown hair imparts. Does anyone else know what I mean? Confused

I sadly have blonde white hair and unfortunately look dreadful with dark hair.

tulpe my hair is the same colour as your dog!Is it a dogue de bordeaux?

EdgarAleNPie · 13/02/2011 20:44

hmm...

chic to me almost demands brunette bob/ updo

though i suppose...

platinum blonde in a bob or updo could also be chic.

just so long as its not anything healthy or sunkissed looking.

FellatioNelson · 13/02/2011 20:45

Noddy! Pay attention.

tulpe · 13/02/2011 20:46

Fellatio - in my case it was my red hair envy which pushed me towards a viszla :o

FellatioNelson · 13/02/2011 20:46

It he/she as mad as a box of frogs? Mine is.

tulpe · 13/02/2011 20:47

or even a vizsla!

noddyholder · 13/02/2011 20:47

Oh a viszla I thought that was some sort of weird mallon streak that I couldn't see in the pics because I don't have one

Perhaps only brunettes can pull of the 'chic' look but unfortunately, not all of us do. I would love to know how.

Tillyscoutsmum · 13/02/2011 20:51

I sort of agree. I am blonde and can look tarty or even slightly glamourous on a really good day, but never chic. Is it because dark hair reflects the light better and always looks shinier (or am I talking bollocks ?!)

MrsSeanBean · 13/02/2011 20:58

No Tillyscoutmum, not bollocks, I believe shiny thing is true.

EdgarAleNPie · 13/02/2011 21:01

this

EdgarAleNPie · 13/02/2011 21:02

but then there's seven of nine

hugebelly · 13/02/2011 21:50

I think chic hair is a great cut that's well conditioned and is styled in a timeless way; think Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly - colour is irrelevant.

I think Dannii Minogue has wonderful hair.

MrsSeanBean · 13/02/2011 21:54

But I don't just mean hair hugebelly. I agree good hair can be any colour.
I mean the whole aura of the person.
