What are you wearing for work at the moment?

I'm tooo bored of my winter wardrobe (boots, knee-length skirt, jumper/cardigan) but it's still cold - what are you wearing for work / smartish day stuff?

Sometimes I wear what you wear, or I swap the skirt for tailored trousers (Next do good ones) and shoe-boots. Dresses are good too - I have a couple of knitted dresses to wear with boots, which are warm, or shift dresses with long cardis.

huge amount of layers!!! it's a shop in a rural setting and no heating!! i would love to be able to wear smart tailored stuff and not look like i'm ten stone heavier!

We have to wear jackets, which is a pita.

So mostly I am wearing:

pencil skirt, long sleeved t-shirt, cropped jacket, lacy tights

dress, opaques, blazer

cigarette pants, striped top, cropped jacket or blazer, ballet flats

black mini, opaques, patent shoes, long-sleeved t-shirt, same bloody boring jackets as all of the above.

lol at lizzy - sounds like my house :)

I don't think I could wear a mini or anything too fitted for work, I'd feel too self-conscious, but maybe a couple of not-too-formal shift dresses with cardigans would work, any recommendations on who does nice ones?

Am also really warming to cigarette pants and brogues for out of work but need to try them to see if I look more Hepburn or stunted...

Shift dresses - try (believe it or not) M&S.

I was in one of their bigger stores last week and they had lots of really yummy fitted dresses.

Not mini-mini rather a few inches over the knee. I'm only short so don't have a lot of leg so it doesn't look too indecent!

Hobbs for dresses maybe? Expensive though - watch out for the sales!
