My 40th!

So we're having a wee thing at home. I am not a centre of attention type of person so a few close friends at home suits me fine!

It will be from lunchtime so I am still thinking of sticking with jeans but looking for something new top wise (although looking for demi curve levis in a 34 if anyone can find them online!). That said I am looking at boot cut - but I read they are a no no? is that right? Why?

So I am of ample norkage so top really needs to be a v neck so slim them down.

For some reason tunic tops look like tents on me so a nice wrap top might just be fine.

This is for march so a sort of inbetween sort of stage with clothing in the shops.

Any suggestions as to what might look nice or where to shop?

Just to add bottom half is a 14 with top half 18.

How much do you want to spend?

gregssausageroll · 11/02/2011 21:45

I'd spent up to £75 I think. May be a bit more if it was goregous!

What sort of shops do you usually like?

Meggles76 · 12/02/2011 19:02

I am one of those people who has a bit of an issue with bootlegs. For me, it is when they are worn with ankle boots... they just scream mumsy.

Belligerent has always been most helpful with her clothes suggestions to me in the past Smile

Gosh Meggles - I struggle to dress myself, so I'm v surprised to hear that...

Sadly, I am currently MNing in v v v old boyfriend jeans and a dressing gown (plus new shoes which I'm breaking in!) - so I clearly shouldn't be on here! :)

BelligerentGhoul · 12/02/2011 19:40

Love this but v expensive and not a wrap top Think it could be quite flattering on though.

BelligerentGhoul · 12/02/2011 19:54

V nice but would need something over it I guess

Meggles76 · 12/02/2011 19:55

Belligerent - It was you who helped me out with the lovely Joules dress before xmas Smile

Now you have ruined the image I had of you belligerent Wink

BelligerentGhoul · 12/02/2011 19:56

The yellow one? Yum!

My shoes are nice though, so can you forgive me?

Meggles76 · 12/02/2011 20:02

Yes, the yellow one!

Oh indulge me with the shoes... I must not buy anything until I get paid again... what are they like?

BelligerentGhoul · 12/02/2011 20:04

Black wedges with a v slight platform so I actually feel tall!

Meggles76 · 12/02/2011 20:26

You are forgiven!!!

BelligerentGhoul · 12/02/2011 20:28

They actually look really good with my dressing gown you know. Grin

gregssausageroll · 12/02/2011 20:49

M&S has been ok recently. Monsoon I like but has been quite repetative recently.

Ocassionally stuff from Next and some stuff from Principles in Debenhams.

Like the black top but it doesn't have sleeves. Don't like my arms.

Have you looked at Phase 8? I was in there the other day and they had some nice tops that would look good with jeans.

gregssausageroll · 13/02/2011 14:28

Nope but I will have a look now. Thanks
