...how am I going to get it cut?

Very thick curly hair, getting on for shoulder length, currently looking like a frizzball mess.

Any suggestions? Quite happy to be radical. Would a fringe be out of the question...?

I can imagine a fringe would be hard to keep up with very curly hair.

If it's a salon you trust, just go to them, tell them what you think is wrong with the way your hair looks and they will suggest things they can do with it. IME hairdressers love it when people give them free rein and a blank canvas to work with.

It's all well and good having curly hair but I do get bored just having a trim!

OMG! Only just seen your post! I'm getting mine cut at 4:15 and have just posted the exact same thing. Hope you get a fab radical cut!!

Update: success (i think) although I flew in the face of reason and now have a sweepy type fringe..

Have suddenly become a bit more high maintenance, but it's a great cut so happy!

(although ask me again in a week when I'm sick of actually having to style my hair..)

But my hair cut is lovely - though not quite as radical as I intended. Had some compliments this morning on my "new do" from friends which was nice :).
