marthamoo · 13/10/2005 18:43

I went in the other day - everything has holes in, frayed edges, and jumpers coming unravelled at the seams. Stuff that I wouldn't even put in a charity bag - it's go straight in the bin. Gawd, I felt old...

codface · 13/10/2005 18:44

yes i though t htat
ireally fancy some tweeedy cropped trousers ( towear when I dont knwo) but not wide ones

marthamoo · 13/10/2005 18:46

Finbar · 13/10/2005 18:47

the belts look nice Oh Cod Queen of accesssories

Mum2girls · 13/10/2005 18:47

A cape, oh codface, has slits in to put your hands through, although that pink one doesn't look like it does.

spagblog · 13/10/2005 18:48

I was walking behind someone today with ever so trendy skinny jeans, and ever so trendy slouch boots and the whole effect was ruined by the fact that the jeans only just covered her arse cleavage and made the massive jiggly tyre round her middle more prominant.
I mean, why bother?

Sorry, sound like a bitch...blame the pmt hormones

marthamoo · 13/10/2005 18:48

I might make this into dusters

and I do have one like this I use for decorating in

Oooh where's my zimmer frame...I'm off to Bon Marche.

Finbar · 13/10/2005 18:49

What you don't want Cod is a pair of boots that pull your socks off when you take them off!

marthamoo · 13/10/2005 18:50

they cannot be serious!

Finbar · 13/10/2005 18:51

I'm sure I've got something similar lurking at hte back of my wardrobe

ScummyMummy · 13/10/2005 18:52

lol moo. The funny thing is that they look like they would be v nice without the moth holes in.

peckarollover · 13/10/2005 18:53

i like look 3 but without the holey shoulders

marthamoo · 13/10/2005 18:56

I felt like my mother walking round in there the other day - I kept opening my mouth and my Mum's voice coming out..."£16 and it's got holes in?... Needs sewing up this jumper, it's coming apart.... Oh, what will they think of next?... Do people really wear this stuff?"

(I was with a friend btw, wasn't talking to complete strangers - now that would be a bit too like my Mum for comfort )

codface · 13/10/2005 20:11

OP posts:
codface · 13/10/2005 20:13

OP posts:
codface · 14/10/2005 13:56

OP posts:
nailpolish · 14/10/2005 14:06

i actually bought a lacy cream top in RI yesterday to go with a green tweedy pair of trousers out of topshop (with very low waist, but it covered my arse cleavage) and a long string of beads

i tried on a pair of tweedy shorts and had to stifle the laughter in the changing rooms, so opted for the normal trouser length instead

what the hell do you wear with shorts anyway? (as regards to footwear) boots make you look like an austrian yodeller and shoes are too summery now - and do you wear tights? god forbid

didnt have time to contemplate that

gone are the days of wandering around the shops alone going back to the same shop a hundred times SIGH

I hanker after the days when it was called Chelsea Girl

teeavee · 14/10/2005 14:15

you know what else is 'in' this season???

KNICKERBOCKERS

I would actually like a pair of nice tweedy ones, but I'm scared of becoming a laughing stock among my friends....

nailpolish · 14/10/2005 14:16

Fimbo · 14/10/2005 14:20
