Oil Cleansing Method - can I use castor oil pregnant?

I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant and my skin is in a terrible state. I usually take Dianette for my acne which worked a treat but as soon as I came off it to TTC my skin has got worse and worse.

I have been reading about the oil cleansing method and was wondering whether castor oil (which seems to be the oil of choice) was safe to use in pregnancy? Some websites suggest it can induce contractions Confused

Does anyone use any other oil combinations during pregnancy?

Thanks xxx

putting castor oil on your skin won't hurt I think you are thinking of some aromoatherpy oils which should be avoided in pregnancy. Castor oil is cheap and used in asian cultures for beauty theapies which is why you feel it is the oil of choice, often talked about on the internet. But really there are a few oils out there you can try. You can cleanse with oil but it might be a bit heavy for your skin. Try it and see. If you skin feels oiling again after half an hour after cleaning its not right for you.
