Green frock. What make-up?

Have a big work party tomorrow. My theme is retro/pin-up - green Joan Holloway style dress, leopard shawl, heels and pillbox hat. Wondering how to do my eyes without it being too much - I love green shadow, but I have wee deep-set eyes and I'm worried I'll look like a redundant panda. Any ideas?

What colour are your eyes? Mine are hazel/green and green eyeshadow is super flattering. Have you got time to pop into a Boots and get a green set? I use a pale matt green over the lid and half way up (iyswim) and a darker one in the socket. I also use a green eye liner along the eyelash line and a green mascara sometimes or black if not.

White eyeliner is my new wonder product. A bit along the inside bottom lashes makes my eyes pop.

Just thought - I have a green Reiss dress and tend to wear mascara (& touch if Benefit lemon aid) only on my eyes and a red lipstick.

Use a neutral beige eyeshadow over the whole lid, then a green just in and above (blended away towards the brows) the socket. Black liquid liner and lots of mascara.

I wore a green Reiss 'Joan-esque' dress to Royal Ascot last year (like you, with pillbox hat and olive marabou shrug).
I used a creamy matte foundation, plum lipgloss, touch of rosy blusher, black liquid liner and black lashes with Chanel's 'Jungle' eyeshadow just behind the lashes and blended upwards slightly on the outer edges.
Don't overdo the makeup if the outfit is statement or you'll end up looking cartoony.

Mac eyeshadow in Club is good, it's a duochrome so it looks brown but has a lovely greenish shimmer.
