Bloody fantastic.

Its butter soft. The colour is perfect. Not quite yellow, not quite camel...its just PERFECT.

The lining is a gorgeous cotton pinstripe.

The strap is such a perfect length for me - I hate having to really shove it up your arm to wear it on your shoulder because of a short strap, but I hate carrying bags with my hand, so it tucks under the arm nicely but easily, even with a coat on. But it doesn't hang too low.

Its just utterly delicious Grin

For those who are wondering Peony & Moore's Lucia, in Tan

TattyDevine · 09/02/2011 18:01

Oh, and the way it looks when its just sitting on the floor or whatever - it sort of drapes beautifully, its apparent even from a distance how soft the leather is. Some bags are big and stiff and look it but this one just oozes buttery leather everywhere lol

IlsaLund · 09/02/2011 18:05

Ooooh - that bag is gorgeous.

I wish I wasn't trying to save money cos I really want one

TattyDevine · 09/02/2011 18:17

Just get one. It will stop you buying a Mulberry thus saving £600.

You can't afford NOT to get one.

Noooo - don't encourage me!

I'm trying to be so sensible - I don't need a bag

madammecholet · 09/02/2011 18:53

Who said anything about 'need'?

tattydevine I was hoping there was something wrong with it. I ahve many Peony & Moore bags, but this one just keeps shouting 'come to mama' to me...

Go on Madamme...its going to sell out before the Spring ends, I swear. Don't end up letting 2011 be the year the bag got away!

madammecholet · 09/02/2011 18:58

You're a pusher tatty....but I like you.

Am going to order camel and point DH in your direction when CC bill comes in - that OK??

The bag is completely delectable but I too can't afford it. Dont think Ive ever spent more than £35 on a bag.
Does anyone know of any cheaper versions???

TattyDevine · 09/02/2011 20:06

CDM - haven't seen any I'm afraid. If I do though, I'll flag you down with a link. Though if you had a poke through TK Maxx or even Debenhams bag bit you'd find something in a similar style in terms of the shape and pockets etc I'd think, as its a fairly popular style at the mo. There are a lot of Mulberry rip offs in Next (and this bag is very similar to one of the Mulberrys I'm told) but the quality is appalling - even for £30 you can get much better than what I've seen in there.

Alternatively I suggest you get your husband to get a second job. These men dont really know what hard work these days anyway.

strictlysauvignon · 09/02/2011 20:31

you are so right! can I send you my cc bill too Madam love the grey!!!

CDMforever · 11/02/2011 21:22

Have asked DH to get a second job to finance new luxury bag purchasing habit. He said he'll get back to me......
