Quick questions on (boring!) gents sizing

Hoping some of you ladies can help! Looking for some clothes to buy my brother for his 40th - I know he is a 30 waist and he;s about 5'7" tall. Can any of you suggest what size of shirts/tops would be appropriate please?

If you can't have a looksie in his wardrobe or ask his gf/dp, I'd go for a medium. Or check the H&M website or the M&S website as they both do chaps sizing charts. HTH.

I think medium too.

The Ralph Lauren sale on line had loads of things in a medium left (but not the xl my dp needs Sad)
