Whats the best way to take off price tag at bottom of shoes?

Some sticker tags peel off easily but others are a nightmare!

I'm sure I saw mayonnaise used to remove stickers from furniture on How Clean is Your House - leave a dollop on for a while and it dissolves the glue.
Not sure what you do if it gets on the uppers....

I've had some success with nail varnish remover, but it depends on the sole material.

I have a BIG thing about leaving labels stuck on shoes. They do seem to have got less sticky in recent years thankfully

Baby wipes. Keep rubbing till it comes off. It's never fails.
