Help me accessorise this dress please..

Hello all,

I am a long time lurker on these threads and have picked up some fab tips and bargains along the way. Now has come the time for me to ask for some help.

I have just bought this bargain of a dress,for my 40th birthday dinner in March. I LOVE it, but have realised that I do not have a thing that will go with it. Which shoes? coat? bag? tights? I am thinking some simple earrings and some high heels, but am open to suggestions. Can anyone help please?

Ooh, madammecholet, love it. Purple would never have ocurred to me. I was thinking maybe dark blue.That bag is mine, and I love the shoes, but they are a bit out of my budget. Will have a hunt around for something similar.

Nude tights, do you think?

Now you are spoiling me, however, I have to say - Eeeeek... bare legs?

I really have the fear re the thought of baring legs in March. If the dress covers my knobbly, battle scarred knees then I might consider it. Will maybe wait until it arrives before I make that decision.
