I bought two pairs from Peacocks last week - they're either £18 per pair or £22 for two pairs, I got one pair of indigo and one normal denim colour.

Wore the indigo ones today and they are sooo comfy! They look like denim, but are stretchy so they move with you, and they're lined as well so aren't stiff, and because they're tight they tuck nicely into boots.

And no sagging at the knees - bonus!

Just looked online and these are the pair that I wore today.

Jeggings?

MrsMeow · 06/02/2011 19:49

No, I wouldn't say they were jeggings (I really don't like jeggings!) as they have more support if you know what I mean?

They're like the spray on skinnies of the 80's but without the discomfort Grin

Peacocks here I come, thanks MrsMeow Smile

eddiemccready · 06/02/2011 23:59

I can concurr that these are def not jeggings. They are more substantial but still very skinny. I have come to the conclusion that cheaper skinnys are better. Because, the fabric is generally thinner so therefore more slimming! Does that make sense?

MrsMeow · 07/02/2011 21:02

No probs FabMum1 - hope you like them :)

eddiemccready, I agree! I've got them from everywhere, River Island, Topshop, Next, New Look...and these Peacocks ones are the best so far! I've also got a pair of really thick leggings from Peacocks, which have a zip & button (so like trousers) and they're brilliant too :)

I'm looking for a pair of ultra-skinnies to tuck into some pull on boots - I shall head to Peacocks! Thanks for the tip, MrsMeow!

MrsMeow · 07/02/2011 21:12

No probs :) They're legging tight around my (normal sized - I think!) calves so none of the bulkiness that you get from normal denim style skinnies.

Stretchiness wise, I'd say your normal size would do, but I had to go up a size as the waistband seemed smaller than my usual size would be if you know what I mean?

Because they're stretchy though, they're not baggy even if you do go up a size.

The inside leg of a regular pair though is 32". Not a problem for me as thats my size anyway, but 32" is usually a long, isn't it?

What is the max size I could get away with skinny jeans?

Right-o. I need some new skinny jeans so will venture into Peacocks Smile. I'm currently in Primark skinnies and I think I could do better.

MrsMeow · 08/02/2011 18:07

INeedALie in - I wear them and I'm a 14, and my friend wears them at a size 18 and looks gorgeous, but I suppose it depends on if you feel comfy or not :)

MrsMeow · 09/02/2011 18:40

Oh you lucky beggar, I found the waistband really tight! (wonder if I'm in denial about the few lbs I put on over xmas Grin)

They're fab though aren't they? I wore the paler blue ones today, they looked great with my fly boots :)

Just wanted to say thanks for the tip MrsMeow Grin am wearing them now.

This is my first venture into skinnies (seriously behind the times alert) and they look completely fab with boots.

Sammy74 · 16/02/2011 14:46

Hi, I just wanted to say I bought two pairs of these as 'stop gap' jeans whilst I am losing my pregnancy weight and they are brilliant!

Even my DP commented on how nice they looked and he didnt even bat an eye when I splashed out on some £200 JBrands.

Thanks Smile

soppypreggyloon · 16/02/2011 17:56

What's the leg length like?
I'm a short arse so always have to turn up jeans. Thinking may get a pair for after baby arrives...

PomPotty · 17/02/2011 10:01

Soppy - OP talks about length about 10 posts up from here... HTH

lackaDaisy · 17/02/2011 10:05

Best skinny jeand EVER! Thanks MrsMeow Smile

Though best not to get tempted by the shoes they have on offer for £4. Looks beautiful, but not worth it really
