Bumble & Bumble thickening serum

Has anyone used the Bumble & Bumble Thickening serum that you're supposed to apply at night?

Do you wash it off in the morning? Does it work? I have lots of thin hair but it gets greasy easily so I don't want it clogged up but have read good things about this. Are they true?

TIA

hi,im a hairdresser and work with bumble and bumble. i also have really fine hair!

their whole thickening range is amazing i couldnt recomend it enough. one of my favs at work is the thickening hairspray to add body when blow drying (even on thick hair!)

for the serum you can apply to wet or dry hair. they recomend you use it at night because that is when the body rejuventates itself so it is more affective then, same kind of idea as using a night cream on your face. for VERY fine hair, apply morn and night. the best way to use it is to pump directly onto your scalp and rub in, it will make your hair a bit damp so you will need to blow dry a bit but it wont make your hair greasy or sticky. DO NOT rub it in your palms as this will break down any active ingredients. it will thicken by 8% over a 12 week period.

if your hair is that oily and fine, i would hope you are washing every morning anyway, if you use the correct products it is perfectly fine to do that, i and most of my collegues do. if you apply the serum nightly its been on all night so fine to wash in the morning anyway.

hope ive helped but if you need any more info, fire away!

njhc, always meant to try this product (ie, thickening hairspray). Will it work for blow drying short, choppy hair as well as long?

njhc · 07/02/2011 19:40

yes, its good for any length, but you do need to use a hairdryer to 'activate' it, even if you just blast dry and dont use a brush. be generous with it, b&b products are designed to be layered so individually they are all quite light.

Thanks. So, as I do usually just blast, with some finger action, would have to introduce a bit of brush-assisted blasting, yes?

Thanks for these replies. I ordered the Ojon products in the meantime but will stop and get some Bumble & Bumble today and see what happens.

I've tried the thickening serum, and felt it was ok, but no huge difference in hair - this however is amazing! it's called 'botox' for hair, l'oreal do a similar product called fibercutic, i'ts supposed to be a salon treatment but you can buy on ebay, one app lasts about 10 washes - also redken time delay range contains the same ingredient, intrcylene (sp) is great for fine hair...
