Aargh! There is not a boot in the land that I like.

Help me. I have no waterproof shoes save for wellies. Have scoured the earth and tried on all manner of things. Am quite fussy in that I like a square or round toed boot, never pointy.

I did like these, but too £££, then in desperation tried them on in Sole and they are too tight on the foot anyway, ffs. I also like these, but too tight on the calf

I cannot wear wellies with everything from now until spring. Where can I look that I haven't tried already? (next, schuh, m&s, jones, john lewis, dune, sole, fat face)

i love em soo much, not lady like but lovely to wear.

reallygrumpy · 06/02/2011 00:14

Have you tried timberland? I've got a pair from there that are comfy and waterproof. Or you could see what's in the sale in Hobbs.

OnEdge · 06/02/2011 00:16

i love the ones you like. how do you put them on ? i need shoes easy to put on cos im a bit of a fat bastard at the moment with a bad back.

RachelHRD · 06/02/2011 00:17

Duoboots are great as you can get boots to fit your calf measurements and the boots are great quality and stylish.

Clary · 06/02/2011 00:19

I agree OP I was searching in vain for a nice pair of tan boots to wear with black or brown...

I liked some from Bertie but when I got them in sale (as £££ otherwise) I had to send them back - not high enough on leg and not really brown, more khaki. They had black but now don't seem to (style Natahn B) but others might be good? here

(I am wide of calf and they fitted fine)

Saucepanman · 06/02/2011 00:38

I want mid calf so can wear with a frock too. Am thinking biker boots. Ordered these from next but were too pointy for my liking. Since when were biker boots pointy?! I know, I am a fussy cow Blush

Maybe I should design boots

Thanks for the links, I love the Bertie biker boots Clary, but fear they may be pointy
