Knicker Question

Hello Smile

So, am looking for new lingerie set. Am not a thong lady, more shorties. But would like lacey (not trashy). Anyway, have seen these knickers with a ruched bottom. I quite like them.

Have looked at Figleaves etc, but find it hard to search within the site. Anyone got an ideas of a brand that do ?

TIA

x

I adore ASDA bras. Seriously.

Gorgeous sets, fit nicely, wash nicely and look lovely.

Most of their bras come with a choice of thong, brief or shorts.

Northumberlandlass · 05/02/2011 19:11

Actually I've never looked at ASDA stuff ! Thanks. I've got lots of fantasie bras which I love.

I don't actually wear 'sets'. Do you ladies ? Is your underwear always co-ordinated ?

I can't leave the house unless my underwear matches.

I have about 30 sets, all lined up in a drawer. I love buying underwear.

No idea why I'm like that, though!!

M&S have some lovely stuff too. I live miles from one so I tend to forget about it. More expensive than ASDA though.

I strive to be a woman whose underwear always matches Grin

I'm 36E, size 16/18 bottoms.

I don't mind paying for decent stuff. Just as long as it lasts !

Try Miss La La Presents, Kiss Me Deadly or What Katy Did...
Lovely fun stuff and really well designed (by women, for women)

I'm a fan of Elle MacPherson Intimates underwear; I struggle to find bras that fit - due to shape rather than size - and her contour bras are perfect. The shorties are well cut so don't show under clothes and, more importantly, don't end up anywhere you would rather they didn't! They are really pretty too. It is rather £££, but I take advantage of Figleaves offers or outlet, or dh might buy me a set and I'll buy a couple more pairs of knickers to go with it.

cabbageroses · 06/02/2011 09:34

I covert Elle Mc but can'y justify spending £20 on a pair of knickers just because they match the £35 bra!

I honestly find that M&S fits well- especially the Limited Collection range.

I am quite small up top though- usually a 32C so I aminly buy their push up styles.

higgle · 06/02/2011 12:35

The problem with sets is that you really need to buy two pairs of knickers - sometimes at £20 each - to get the wear out of the bra. I tend to stick to black lace in the winter so I can pair up cheaper knickers with the bras.

Ooopsadaisy · 06/02/2011 12:41

I used to do the matching underwear thing until life just became too short.

I changed cup size and could not afford to buy all new bras.

Now I don't care if I match or not.

I wear plain bras in a single colour and just wear kecks that don't clash.

ASDA lingerie is lovely but don't do 30 inch bras. Bastards. In fact not many cheaper brands do. Bastards.

I am a Primark pack-of-5 for £2.50 kind of girl. I just don't get fancy undies.

ClenchedBottom · 06/02/2011 18:41

I had a lovely Elle McP set but weirdly the bra shrank radically when (hand)washed, so I wouldn't buy her stuff again (although I do still wear the shorties, which are that rare combination of pretty, well-fitting and comfortable - and the shorties wash well, too)

Northumberlandlass · 06/02/2011 19:27

Thanks, will check out Elle McP.

had a look at the Kiss Me Deadly, Miss La La Presents and what katy did...I absolutely LOVE the style. Although am sure DH will think I am having an affair if I leave the house for work with that kind of under garment Wink

I am Triumph fan as their bras fit me well. Matching sets all the way for me!

CointreauVersial · 06/02/2011 20:39

I'm a matchy-matchy girl (yes, two pairs of knicks to each bra), and love pretty undies. I swear by M&S. If you go to one of their bigger stores they have all sorts of gorgeous stuff, and it's not too expensive. I had to be dragged out of the Kingston store today.

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 06/02/2011 20:46

I have just been treated to a couple of beautiful matching sets by DH. We went to Debenhams they have a great range with different types of knickers for each bra. They also do great bras for larger cup sizes. here

teahouse · 07/02/2011 21:55

@NLL - spice up your life and get him to buy you some lovely lingerie - just for him ;o)

KikiJane · 07/02/2011 22:07

The ones with the ruffled bottoms look nice, but are a bugger to get away with under most clothes.

I used to be obsessed with wearing matching underwear. My boyfriend prefers me to wear really simple, well-fitting, cotton knickers though, and I must admit they're SO much more comfortable! Calvin Klein cotton briefs FTW.
