Nice laptop bags?

It looks like I'm soon going to back to heave my laptop home from work everyday.

I've got the massive, ugly laptop bag they supply with the machine, but it's no good as a general bag. I don't want to carry two bags anyway.

What I could really do with is something that'll take the laptop and all my other stuff, but doesn't look like a briefcase. Just something that looks like a nice, take anywhere bag.

Do they exist? Bet they dont.

Just get a slip case to protect your laptop, and then choose any bag you like thats big enough

Hmmm...I have a slipcase for my own laptop, but I don't think it's protective enough. I need something that will withstand a bit of a knock.

Unless there are sturier ones I have seen.

Have you looked at Knomo? Good choice, look nice and sturdy to boot...

Lulie, thanks, there are a couple there that certainly fit the bill (typically, the more expensive ones .)

I use a big Longchamps bag to carry my laptop and papers around it. It's very sturdy (although doesn't do much to protect the laptop)

Tumi bags are fab. They have an outlet store at Bicester Village (or did, last time I was there).

Very well-built...and cheaper in the US if you are on a business trip there any time soon?

(They also resell well on eBay.)

Fairly basic (£60) options from Staples, of all places. I like, anyway... Leather, womens bags. Red or black.

The Olipops bags on Amazon are really nice. I wanted one but they are too big for my Macbook.
